Yeah that will catch you by surprise for sure!

i grew up about 20 min inland of Vandenberg in Santa Maria. Launches were much fewer and farther between back then but they were always something to see. Lots of kids had parents who worked on base so we’d stop class to watch the launches. They’d rattle the windows pretty good! I make it a point to watch them when I know about them because it’s still fascinating to me.

I'd choose the Honda every time given the choice free (if I had to choose one) or paid for.

I'd gladly ride both if given the opportunity #MotoSlut

That new more road oriented adventure sports es 2024 Africa twin is a sexy looking bike and would probably be the one I'd buy if you told me I had to buy new and couldn't have a super tenere.... At this point I'll ride the super ten for the next 8ish yrs and get a lightly used 2024 AT.... Tho I'll probably never ride enough to wear out the super tenere as long as I change oil.

I don't like the road oriented ATAS. They changed the wheel size from 21/18 to 19/18. The only differences between base and AS now are 6.5 gal tank, wheels, and electric suspension.

Theres also a F900GS road focused version that has a different power map for the road.

Offroad focused for me all the way. Love how my bike turned out. Im probably 100 miles away from 9k. Only things Ive been looking at lately are levers, seat concepts, and a steering stabilizer. And some way to fab up a mount for this:

This year Ill be going away from Cardo, and more towards the handheld gmrs radio that I just bought

And that's the beauty of it! Options!
My super tenere is a 19in front (17in rear) and has been amazing for my needs. It rarely sees dirt but often sees twisty canyon riding.

If I wanna play in the dirt I got my wr450 which is SOOOOO much better for that application.

Finally you get it! The gold wheels really set off the RWB paint set. Go for it!

    Haha. Rite rite.

I was watching another vid of a guy racing KLX300 dual sport bike, in a Hare Scramble. Then, the above vid popped up. I wasn’t sure who would win, the bike or one of the cars. That said, the EV van was surprisingly fast.

That sucks, man! Wishing you all the best at doing your thing. I used to be a member of Blue Ribbon Coalition, basic membership (Sharetrails.org). They work on trying to keep trails open on a national level. Is it worth it in my mind?…. Dunno, but would like to think so.

    https://www.sharetrails.org/

I’m not trying to promote membership, just saying in general. Look ‘em up if you wanna.

Its only been in the beginning of my truck build haha. Once I went full truck mode, bed became unusable for hauling bikes.

So i should have a Honda Nighthawk, the FZ09, and maybe the Z125. After that, it went downhill haha

In the DC area, there are so many dealerships within 1-2 hour drive. I got my AT in Richmond VA which is a little over 2 hours. Got it with a trailer. But all others have been semi local. I don't really have access to a trailer anymore.

Getting to trails, i need to go on highways for at least 1.5 hours. Backroads can work too, but takes longer. Not always a problem.
