Doesn't look like they make them for the Grom yet, but if they ever do, the Hepco and Becker C-Bow system is pretty rad for saddlebags. Makes swapping between bikes a breeze.

I just ordered a tank ring and Royster daypack tank bag for my CRF. It was on backorder for 1 to 4 weeks. Friday will make 4 weeks. I want to eventually get the skid, rear rack, c-bow and side bags for it.

How is that CRF300L Rally for maintenance?

    Does it eat oil?

    Where is the air filter?

Does it vibrate a lot since it is a single?

What speeds does it start to not feel great running at?

If I ever decide to get into any kind of actual off road it's been the top of my list because it seems really durable.

It's a neat system, it also gives something super secure for a passenger to hold onto if needed. My Hypermotard has plenty of seat room but nothing to hold on to, without bags the mount is a great handle

    8K oil changes/16K valve checks. I do 4k/8K
Didn't eat any oil with the first 2 changes(600, 4K mile ones)
Air filter is under the exhaust side rear number plate. 2 allen bolts, and 4 screws on the airbox lid.
It's a single, so it vibrates, but not as bad as my DRZ did
It will run interstates, but it's honestly "happy" at around 65/70

It's not a mile eater or threat for a whiskey throttle.....but I love it :D
From what vids I watched, they seem to be a good company.

Been meaning to ask as you will probably know best. I have rented a CRF250Rally for an upcoming trip. I have a small magnetic tank bag I use on my super tenere, is the tank on the CRF250/300 Rally have enough exposed metal to utilize a small magnetic tank bag?

    Oh sweet.

    I have this lil bag

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073Y3K7ZQ?ie=UTF8&th=1

and magnets in the wings, worst case 2 of the 3 make contact as the seat comes up quite a bit on the tank. For some reason I thought the tank was plastic or encased in plastic shrouds.

You can pull the seat back enough to get the bottom flap in........I would imagine

    Oh perfect!

I actually just went out to the garage and realized there are 4 magnet flaps one at the front as well... On my super tenere I tuck the rear one in and don't use it lol.

This is gonna work great uggggh I can't wait till riding in Hawaii!

The fork guards? Just so long as they won't collapse when the forks cycle who cares?

You have conventional forks, on upside-down forks it would be a hilarious fail

i know i got conventional forks and not inverted forks. i got these "guards" when i got my graphics kit to make the forks not look so twigy buuuut my forks dont have bolt holes for these so i for sure didnt use metal zip ties to hold it down on the lower parts of the fork:anonymous:

I've macguyvered some crazy shit on bikes before. I've had shift levers break and/or fall apart a couple times. On my RSV4 it wasn't a huge deal, just put in second till I got home. R6 was a little more complicated, ended up with a zip tie mess. Whatever works tho! My hyper has jb weld holding part of the fender on cause I didn't want to spend $290 on oem parts

Are we talking the lower fork guards with the Bridgestone stickers?

Typically not something you see on a conventional fork (a fork that the lower part is larger diameter than the upper fork).

All upside down forks off road have lower leg fork guards as that's the part that is sliding past the seal and needs to be protected

correct i wanted them for the look back when i got the graphics since it made the conventional forks not look so twigy... but nobody makes a way for them to mount sooo i put em on lol
