Location plays a huge factor, too. I only pay $447 every six months for my 2007 4Runner and my wifes 2020 Jeep Renegade combined, with enhanced coverages for uninsured/underinsured (college kids..) and glass. Then $183 for full coverage on the 2010 BMW F800GS and liability only on the Grom and CT90 per year. When I removed the CB750 my bill went down a whopping $0.68 a year hahah. They're all pretty tame and I'm in my 30's with no motorcycle tickets and stellar credit. I'm tempted to see what a new high performance bike would be..

Definitely location. I'm 40 with a perfect driving record, zero claims, tickets, nada. Have not added any aftermarket parts, I don't need it going higher

    I’m jealous

My truck is about $1200/year to insure.

Initially the BMW was about $1200/year to insure with full coverage. Adding the YZ250F for liability only got me a $2 refund. Then adding the R3 for liability only got me $200 back.

I have no idea how it works but it only incentivizes me to buy more…

I guess I should also add that I have completely maxed out coverage. When I was getting the quote they gave me the minimums and I asked for a quote with everything maxed, and the rep didn't get it. She said"Ok, well we have a few ways you can increase it and I can give you breakdowns for each level of coverage" so I had to very clearly state "I want a quote for it all maxed out. Every option maxed." It was kinda funny because I guess everyone is always asking to keep it all as cheap as possible and get minimum coverage. If I eff up on a bike it's got potential to be bad and I want as little financial headache to go with my broken bones and road rash as possible.

Progressive. I have +5 safe points now, no accidents, and no tickets for 5+ years. Plus im 36, so i think that factors in too

I'll look up my coverages later

I'm almost 40, been with progressive with my car for over a decade, but bike insurance has only been since like 2020 when I got my first SxS. No accidents or tickets. I've never heard of the "safe points" though. Might be something that is area specific. That gives me hope that I won't get rolled too much harder for a Super T, though. Unless it just doubles everything for the higher coverage and low deductible.

Over 60, 2 FJR1300s each with full coverage and fairly low deductibles, 95 Buell and 77 Honda CB400F just have liability. Fairly high limits since the Iron Butt Rally requires 500k total so that's what I've started carrying. No accidents or tickets since 2019 and that accident was not my fault but I was hit by someone. I think my total bill for the year is just under $800 with Progressive.

I don't know if the safe points do anything. It might be a Virginia thing. I also know that im not full coverage and low deductible

Everyone posting their rates had me checking mine... I'm paying $760 a year for full coverage on both bikes through Allstate. 70% of that premium is the SDR. Looking at my limits I probably should increase them a bit. I'm 41 with no tickets and no accidents aside from when I was hit two years ago

    What is "SDR?"

I pay $1800 per year for a 2013 Tacoma, 2016 cx-5 and 2007 Toyota Corolla full coverage on all with two divers.
So 150 per month. I do pay in full every 6 months to save a couple hundred.
The Kymco scooter, Honda monkey and Klx are only 250 per year full coverage. Adding the 929 it goes to just over 400 per year full coverage.
I have been with progressive since 2006. In that time the wife and I have had 0 tickets ( we haven’t even been pulled over) I have one accident that totaled my 1999 Tacoma. Plus I am older @ 56, wife 53.
Now I did just check to see how much it would be to add my 19 yr old son new driver to my insurance and it went up $1400 per year. So for him about $120 per month and he is insured to dive any of our cars but the Corolla I bought for him. I know I could save some money by just having comprehensive and not full coverage as I own every vehicle I have. It did pay off having it when I totaled my 1999 Tacoma so I will never not have full coverage.

You guys are stuck with your insurance rates. It's just ridiculous in Michigan, a total rip off.

So strange to me we live so close yet our rates are so much different.

In other news, anyone looking for a new dirt bike, GasGas has a killer promotion, get a free e-mtb bike when you buy certain models.

When credit score should have absolutely nothing to do with insurance(my credit is fine). You pay then have it.....you don't buy insurance on credit. I'd like to meet the asshole that decided to push that bullshit through.

I pay $500 a year for the Tacoma and $103 for the Rally. Full coverage on both with accessories coverage.
