Let's see, I'm 63, have no tickets, no accidents and my credit score is good. Credit shouldn't determine your insurability anyway. Vehicles, 21 tacoma trd off road, 21 Nissan Rouge, 23 triumph bonnevile motorcycle.
In Michigan, ready for this? $525 a month! And that's cheap for here. Michigan is a total racket.
If I wasn't so damn old I'd move.

Quite a range in extortion policy prices.
$1300.00 a year, full coverage on the Tundra.
$163.00 a year, full coverage on two bikes.
I don't think I can see myself living in Michigan now.

Thanks for the kind words everybody. I’m physically feeling better today, but just got off the phone with the adjuster and they’ve determined it’s a total loss. Gonna try to get them to let me salvage it, but damn not what I was hoping for after one weekend with the bike.

Yeh I’m assuming they were estimating for OEM parts and replacing anything that got scratched, not just bare minimum to having it road worthy again. I don’t expect the scrap yard value would be too terribly high and our deductible is only $500, so I’m hoping it’ll work out and I can just keep it and fix it up myself.

Yeh my wife has a couple better pictures that show my tracks leading right up to the pothole and the giant rock outside it. I’ll see if I can get those and post them

Just got the repair estimate. They came up with $3000 to return it to stock.

I am not going to see the cbr929rr . As much as I THINK I want it I really don’t. It would just be a distraction from what I am going through right now.
I need to focus on healing myself. I will loose the weight , get in shape and try and find some purpose in my life. Since retirement I really haven’t done anything but spend money and sell what I bought. It’s crazy how much life changes after retirement. I went from a physically demanding job, early start times early to bed ect to Nothing. The exercise I am doing now should at least in time give my body back that strong feeling. I will figure it out but in the meantime I need to stop trying to find more bikes to buy.

Who is your insurance company? If you already mentioned it I meed it.

Some insurance companies, if you have full coverage, will insist on a total repair back to as delivered condition. My ex had State Farm when she wrecked her Harley SuperGlide and they sucked to deal with. they totaled her bike even though she was willing to keep some of the smaller damage as it sat provided she could get the bike back on the road. No dice, turned out they didn't even have any motorcycle specific adjusters to go look at it. They just took into consideration everything the dealership listed and went off that. After that nightmare I switched to Progressive and won't use State Farm for bikes anymore. I learned it was the same way for RVs and boats.
