Yeah, I've seen too many pics of it to not ride in gear. Makes me want to get pants and boots now. So painful looking in the pics.

Was out taking it easy in the country for a ride. A message came across the Zumo XT, saying my foot pegs were here. A u-turn was made, and home I went.

Just put them on a little while ago. These things are huge!

I installed bigger foot pegs on my 22klx300 but with my boots I had a hard time getting my foot under the shifter so I went back to the stock ones.

+1 for Grip Puppies. I have them on both bikes now, they improve comfort and reduce vibes quite a bit.

Rite rite. I know it’s a sin to ride in work boots, but I never had a problem shifting at all. Wearing my Forma’s.. I would have the occasional miss shift. I think the wider pegs will help with that (hopefully).

I ride in hiking shoes/boots because motorcycle boots won't accommodate my girthy calves! :censored:

Yours do look wider to the rear so that might help. The ones I had were centered.
Can you link where you purchased?
    Thanks

Sure. got them off amazon. Click the word, that's where I linked them. They might be a slight bit forward, slightly taller as well.

RMATV Has them too, but, for more coin.

I found some grips. I don’t like the grip puppies just because I have smaller hands and I don’t think I would like the thickness of the grip.

Not really liking the Corbin seat on the FZ1. Just isn’t that comfortable so I ordered a new stock seat from partzilla. It’s only $113 shipped. Then I will try that and then can modify it if needed.
Also used some muscles in my upper legs in the last two days of riding that I haven’t used in a while. Tight and sore but they will get stronger. I think it was from holding myself back in the seat by squeezing my legs agains the tank grips.

I have the grip puppies on my 701 SM and they help a lot with vibrations. The larger diameter felt weird at first, but I've found them to be much more comfortable especially for my thumbs which aren't the same since breaking them.

What do you guys think about the Aprilia Tuareg 660?
    Are Italian bikes high maintenance?

Personally, I love the looks of a lot of them. My big concern is the limited number of dealers nearby and how invested they are in service and parts past the sale. I had a bad experience back in the late 1980's with a Cagiva, now Ducati that likely taints my view of them. YMMV.

Local shyster dealer has three used 2024's, "Call for pricing".
I just heard of them yesterday, F9 has a video out that sparked the interest.
There are a few videos out there with guys wishing they had bought the Tuareg over the T7.

i have some random grips my buddy gave me and i like them a lot but the vibrations are nuts! so ill have to check those out. also speaking of that same friend im getting an entire drz400 engine and trans from him for free since he sold his and just wants it gone lol
ive seen these bikes in person not only do they look great but they sound amazing! but as chuck said id be worried about dealers being around since everything ive heard locally about aprilia are not the most reliable

    @crazysccrmd has one

I think they're worth a shot. And nice score on the free motor, now you can do a 440 big bore kit!
