Decided to take the bike on its first rip with me. And it's a lot of fun! Nothing crazy but it's fun to ride and we'll cruise haha. I will say the handle bars are kinda awkward? Either that or I'm just short lol, reason I say this is I feel the bars are pulling me forward instead of letting me rest back. Other then that no issues. Also for anyone wondering yes it's a 5 spd and it has some vibes but I will say at 75mph it's night and day better then the klx haha I was able to do a bit of highway without my hands tingling from it.

I hope it’s better than the Klx at cruising. lol
For me every cruiser I have owned got boring real quick. For me they just handle bad , they are not fast enough idk they were just never for me. I am so glad we all don’t have the same taste in bikes just because it’s exciting when someone gets something new. Just keep riding!!!

Ya lots better haha. Yes it doesn't have loads of power and doesn't handle on a dime like my klx does in supermotos form but I already know if I had a sportbikes where I would be... So chose this to have something with more power to still have fun and go out and ride around.

I am a just go out and ride whatever you want kind of guy. I will wave at anyone on two wheels and even can am three wheelers. It would be a boring world if we all liked the same thing. The only ones I don’t care for are the Harley gangs that think they are king of the road, the dirt bike riding quad riding on the road Groups that terrorize the streets and the sport bike riders who ride through traffic at break neck speeds scaring cage drivers giving ALL of us a bad name. Otherwise ride your ride and leave me alone. Wow that turned into a rant. Must be the darn alcohol my wife bought me. No it’s not part of my diet and exercise but shit I need to let loose once in a while. :D:cheers:

    What day is it??? Lol

Getting waves is probably one of my favorite things. Makes you feel like part of something bigger.

I will say, for all the BMW mocking I have done over the years, the beamer riders (here) ALWAYS wave and ride respectfully.

The only ones I dont wave to are sleeveless half helmet cruisers, they never wave back and always ignore. I've given up on them.

I have had two compadres tell me all it takes is two speeding tickets of 100 mph over the limit to break you from the need for speed.

From what I have been told, 150 in a 60 gets you a free nights room and board on the state and bumps your insurance close to $1,000 a year.

The only cruiser I ever owned, I used to get a Harley wave, then they would realize it wasnt what they thought and they would pull it back. LOL

I kind of wish I still had it, not a good open road 800 mile a day bike, but you could do 500 without feeling brutalized. Was a great run for a burger and beer bike. Got more compliments from the average Joe on this bike than any i have ever owned.

    I have a KLR650 and F800GS for about $450 a year, at $1450 a year I'd be riding a bicycle. LOL

Cruiser style bikes don't do much for me either. Great to look at, very classical motorcycle styling but not so much great on actual function and use. I got to ride a lot of different Harley models through the years and never could find one that truly appealed to me. My ex had a 1997 Harley SuperGlide that was actually the first brand new vehicle she owned and that bike was okay. She could ride the wheels off the damned thing but it took a lot of cash being put into it to make it that way for her.

At least not at reasonable prices. I think the motors Indian uses are exceptional, and they seem to build very high quality machines. But they're too big for what I consider motorcycling, and the position isn't right. My Jackal Is much smaller, 520#, But still, the lower back is doing all the work.

There's a reason the ADV market is big and growing. The ergos are stellar, the power plants are as well, they're easier to maintain, and they're cheaper.
