Yup my dirtbike has a "natural" color IMS tank that you can see the fuel level. I measured out half gallons at a time from empty and marked on the tank those levels.

Oh my word that sweeping exhaust is freaking BEAUTIFUL.

ya the natural is great for that. im use to it with my dads dirtbike since his is also the natural color. i wanted the ims for the drz but the cost and overall size was honestly worse then the acerbis...

Planned last night to get up early today and sneak in a early morning ride up the canyon and back down before the afternoon storm. Got up at 5am no problem, went about getting ready. Remembered I needed to pick up hardware today for Monday, vendor is open early so ran down and did that so I could take off with a clear conscience.
Made it back home in time to catch Flight For Life coming from the canyon and heading to the hospital. First red flag. Then had another emergency service call, and now the storm is rolling in earlier than anticipated.
Fate? Dumb luck? Did I avoid some bs this morning in the canyon? Did I avoid a rainstorm mixed with hail in the canyon as I would have been starting back down?
    :notsure:

I have a Strata (Strada ?) II. It’s decent, but much better with clean air. The buffeting behind a windscreen makes me a little crazy and never did find a pin lock lens for it.

There’s a guy in my area with 2 dogs and a sidecar. His GSD is NOT content to ride in the sidecar and wants to be in the rider seat! He’ll ride 1/2 in the sidecar, 1/2 in the rider’s lap!

I've only owned 1 H-D It was an early Sportster. It was a K model. Flathead engine. That was a fun bike. Never liked the big twins, maybe because I only rode one once and thought it was too big.
I had a Cotton trials bike, various Yamahas (80,250,650, plus the MX bikes) and Hondas, a Bridgestone, Vespa P200e, (and a 125), Guzzi LeManns, An early "Radial Fined Head" Bultaco And a handful of Pur Sangs (Flat trackers). I even ran a Cooper 250 for a season.
    A Matchless 500 single, and a 750 twin, A Norton 750 Commando, A 125cc and a Sebring Ducati, (both were red). A 441 BSA, a 250 Husqvarna, a 370 Greeves, A couple of BMW K bikes. I can't remember them all I guess.

Now it's just the Honda VFR800, and a MotoMorini 500, , Thinking about getting another Vespa.

    eta

This would be a fun thread topic if it were limited to bikes without disc brakes! ;-)

I have been riding since I was about 10 yrs old. I bought my first street bike from the guy who lived across the street from me, Motorcycle Hall of Fame member "Iron Man" Ed Kretz. He who won the first Datona 200 when it was run on the Beach. The pic is him after that victory.

I have owned 30 or so motorcycles in my 50+ year riding career and 15 yr teaching career.

My Dad brought home an Ariel Square Four when I was about 9 or 10. He sold it before I could ride it myself. So I bought a Non-running Yam YG-1 and pushed it home . (age 12 IIRC)
    I wanted one for myself!

Those halo headlights are bonkers! Love it. That gen S1k was such a huge step in literbikes. The acid green was so cool. I almost bought one, but couldn't quite get the financing I needed, got a CBR instead

My fondest memory of Iron Man Ed Kretz.

In 66' I was walking home from high school football practice with my two buddy's carrying our football gear and all of a sudden we heard the roar of a monster V12 coming up behind us. Seconds later a stunning lime green Lamborghini Miura skidded to a stop next to us and the passenger door swung open and Ed leaned over from the drivers seat and said,"Rad, need a ride.... sorry boys, only one seat available". He lit up the tires all the way up the street. I was in Heaven. He just picked up the car, I had never seen it before.
