I like a clean bike too. Bags = clutter. But Then When I'm with my friends who get off the bike, drop there helmet in the top case and stuff their jacket in a pannier...there is much appeal. So then you have to buy an ADV cuz theyre supposed to be carrying tons of clutter, so it's fine.

    1st world problems.

I think I'll try to cut a small piece of rubber gasket material and add at the bend. It may absorb just enough of the vibes.

    Kinda like this

Free / cheap to try! Only bad vibrations I notice are my hands after an hour or so, especially if I've been on the highways a lot.

Yeah. Like I said, it happens for just a moment and then it's gone. I could easily live with it....but if I can stop it easily....then I will :D It's not very noticeable when the tank bag is on. I guess it has enough weight/pressure to stop it.

Drive up to Squamish is pretty nice and scenic. Have you been up to Whistler at all? Highway opens up a bit and lots of nice long corners.

I'll have to get a bigger bike to enjoy the highways though, 300cc screaming at the top end isn't too enjoyable for long distances. There's a nice small ferry just outside of Revelstoke I'd like to take to some hot springs sometime on the bike, again only issue is the highway there / back. Might end up getting a bike carrier for that one.

Been to whistler quite a bit recently, but with the truck and MTB.

Def an area I want to explore more via all methods though! Want to get Pemberton, and over to Kamloops+Kelowna as well.

Better option for sure with a MTB in tow! Haven't done riding in Pemberton yet but there are some really good trails out that way. Kamloops is decent too, the bike ranch has enough to keep you happy with big air, and they added a new pump track (paved) that just opened this last weekend. And of course there's a ton of areas to head out into for all styles of biking.

I wish we still had small towns that could support things like that. I can remember growing up having a dirt track and a drag strip.......which has been long gone.

I was busy over the 4th of July weekend. Made some good progress with the big bore kit. Got the new barrels on and reinstalled the head. Just waiting to get my camshafts back with the updated profile and the rest should go back together pretty easily. Should be about 4-6 weeks.

The weather we are having is perfect. Taking the Klx out later to go to my dentist appointment then taking the long way home.

What temps? Currently in a heatwave here, afternoons peaking at 38 C / 100 F. Only riding I do is early morning to the gym at 4am, 20 C / 68 F then. Tried an evening ride last night and had hot air coming in like a steam room through all helmet / jacket vents.

    it's my commuter! haha

I try to make a point to not be the only sportbike rider in a group so I don't have to feel that pain, or at least feel it solo

as always, the correct number of bikes is n+1...

The heat is wearing me out. It's a sauna 24-7 here in Midwest. Got out last evening at dusk for a quick blast. Mesh jacket and vents open. As you say..still warm air. Dig my Exo R1 Air helmet, but despite the name there is NOT a lot of air flow in the helmet. Air stands for air bladder, not air flow!

Id like to take the 2 lane wooded roads but there are just too many deer to do it qucikly AND safely at dusk.

It's been hot here too... I try to get out right after sunrise and ride for a few hours. On Sunday it was already 75 F at 5:30am. Actually had a nice ride though, everyone must have been at the beach I had the roads to myself for a while.

You guys think my wife is going to be pissed I just used her more or less brand new motorcycle trailer to go to tge dump? In my defense, I did not use her new matching fancy ratcheting straps. Just the trailer, my old shitty straps.

    Lol
