Sunday morning was tolerable but that's about as good as it got. I left my place heading to Ephrata around 8 and it was already over 80. On my way home around 11 it was breaking 90. Went home then headed for the pool.

Humid too, I'll stick with the dry heat here but will still keep indoors w/ the A/C.

Don't personally have a pool. Lemoyne Borough has a pool and is 7 miles from my house. Membership for 2 of us was only $210 for the summer.

We're expensive year round here haha. Just put in a new central A/C last week before our heatwave came in, old one was 15+ yrs old and struggling before. Upstairs most rooms sit around 71 F w/ thermostat set to 74 F (in hallway w/ virtually no airflow), downstairs is a steady 66 F with most vents closed.

I'm positive we've had this discussion before, but here I am again. Do any of you have a rec for a portable, cordless tire inflator? Ideally one that could squeeze into a tail section of a sport bike, though I know that can get pretty tight. not a huge deal if it can't as I normally carry a few CO2 cartridges, but would be a nice bonus.

I will graciously neglect to comment on the weather here in San Diego for your guys' benefit

I have no experience with this, but Adventure Daily speaks highly of this one. Take that with a grain of salt :D

I bought this on black friday, I've used it to top off tires but not do a full inflation, so I'm not sure how well it'd do there. But I love that it's USB rechargeable and I have a few other tools in that line that the batteries swap with. Plus cheap. https://www.ryobitools.com/products/details/33287208968#

I have the older version of this. They're pretty active on ADVRider.Com and often run sales.

Thanks for checking! I’m surprised there’s such little foot room on a big this big, to be honest. Makes me a little nervous to make left turns at a spirited pace.

    definately wins the size battle.

I bought a great little compressor from Costco, but no way I'd expect to tuck it anywhere on a sport bike.

cell phone for reference. I've used it quite a bit and it kicks ass.

Its definitely not a hobby grade RC boat, but for the price its pretty decent, small enough to throw in a backpack or moto box and provide some good laughs for ~30-45 min with both batteries depending on how often you are in the throttle. Its not super fast, maybe 15mph. There is a little water sensor safety thing that detects continuity from an exposed screw on the bottom and brass propeller shaft housing. For my use in the ocean where it sees LOTS of time in the air, I cut the two wires for that sensor and simply stripped n twisted them together and taped em up. Now the boat will run out of water. The only other thing I have done is move the steering rod one hole further out on the servo arm to make it steer quicker and tighter. A little drop or two of some lube on the drive exposed driveshaft inside and outside of the boat after use for the day and it keeps on ticking.

I have been half tempted to get a brushless / slightly bigger boat, but now we are in the 100+ range and then it ends up snowballing like my other RC ventures.... Im good at 50ish bucks to have it get pummeled by waves haha.

I have this, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B6J33XXX but looks like its not available any more. That stated there are many similar "portable tire inflators" that are small on Amazon with great reviews (probably just newer models). I have been pleasantly surprised with it. It will fill my front tire on the super tenere from 0 psi to 33psi in ~2min, rear tire from 0 to 36 in ~3 and only use 1 bar of battery. Had no problem pumping the airbags on the rear of my taco up to 100psi for kicks, nor did it have an issue pumping to 50psi with probably 1k of weight in the bed/tongue of the truck. It lives in my top box of my super tenere.

I wonder if you could take that shield off and make something that allows for more clearance but doesnt melt (no idea what the exhaust looks like in that space)

Mostly stock, just happy to have a truck.
Looks like fanttik x8? Fantastic little compressor and can be used as a power charger for usb devices if so. They make a much smaller one for bike and such which work for motorcycles as well and use much less room.

Just got back from my dentist and the long way home. Noticed the bikes steering felt weird. On my way home I stopped and lowered the front pressure a little but that didn’t do it. I put the bike and a stand and moved the steering from left to right. When turning left I hear a squeak from the steering bearing. Damn thing sounds dry. Well I know what my next project is. Taking the front end off the KLX and do a clean and grease of the front steering bearings. If I find they are bad then I will replace. Bike only has 380 miles on it and never been anywhere that dirty.
