Yep, and it was great to have! Made the trip back a little easier. It wasn’t perfect but it made it so I could rest the hand for a little bit at a time.

What kind of lift/jack are y’all using? Want to be able to do more maintenance on the bike, but the piece of wood under the jiffy stand to level her out doesn’t provide much stability.

Mr. Fancy over here with the jiffy stand.

I used one of these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07LF44C4N?ref=emc_p_m_5_i_atc

Mine isn't the same brand, I bought it 8 years ago, but looks close enough. On the CB750 I could use the arms to catch the frame rails without removing the exhaust, or I can remove them and jack up from the skid plate on the F800GS. Pretty versatile. Put a socket on the drill and run it up and down using that instead of the hand crank.

(Edit: classic Lemmy article on the jiffy stand: https://www.revzilla.com/common-tre...tand-and-i-refuse-to-compromise-on-this-point )

I’ve read that article! Hence my use of the term.

It’s a thing. One of my many quirks.

Lol I need to be a good boy, been having too much fun lately.

like what supermoto would i replace with? probably join the club and get a klx300. maybe a 701/690 if there's a decent price but that seems too ambitious lol.

haha im gonna be taking my klx to southern missouri and its all just dirtroads the tercel group is gonna be on so i wont truly be legal for it lol

ya sorry worded that bad lol. tbh idk if the klx300sm is setup differently then my r model but it just wouldnt have enough getup and go for me to do a sm setup. its got the weight and small profile but its power just tbh isnt there. now for trail use its great just enough to have fun where i wont kill my self lmao.

a 701 would be awesome! but that much on a sm sounds fun but terrifying but i want it lmao

Standard truck / car jack and a 2x4 lol. Sturdy enough across my frame rails to do chain maintenance on.

It’s sitting in my tank bag. I still have the SV650! It’s sitting in my shop next to the other motorcycles I don’t ride :annoyed:

Ya it has the stock tires but it does handle pretty well on the street with them. Haven’t been out of control, slid ect. I would like to get a more street oriented set of tires for it though. I am taking the KLX over to eastern Wa with my brother over Labor Day weekend to do some riding on a big piece of property his friend owns. Will be hauling it in the Tacoma and sleeping in a tent. Should be a good time.
