Hell yeah so fun. I'm glad it's close by, only an 1.5hr drive from my place. NJMP has two road race circuits and a go kart track. There's also a MX park across the street. I think both days I was the only one out there on a supermoto, did see a Hypermotard on Sunday.

sweet thats promising haha. yup a little maintenance right when I get it and it should be good to go. I had him send me a video of him starting it and letting it run for a bit, seems to be working well as is which is a good sign.

that's an awesome setup. out of curiosity what are the dimensions of that screen?

If I'm remembering right the screen itself is 24'x14', frame is about 3' wide, then about 6ft for the bottom apron. So overall about 30'x24'

Yeah don't blame you I would have done the same, that's too hot to be out there all day.

Also what's your setup at the track look like? Do you have a trailer or put the bike and everything in your truck?

That's a long day... but also sounds like you're getting old :D

I bought one of those 1000W Jackery deals recently for camping and track days. Worked perfectly for morning coffee, charging up the gopro batteries, cooling fan. etc without the noise of a generator. I dont have warmers, but there were a few others using them for warmers. They're always having sales too. I scooped mine up on Prime Day for a great deal.

Man I wish I had my own trailer...one of those Kendons or similar would be sweet, but no room to store it. Maybe once I sell the R3.. I rent a Uhaul trailer to bring the bikes, everything else in the truck a la @Calamity_taco style :D. EZ up as well as the truck mounted awning provide plenty of shade. Pic below, before I set up the EZ Up and table

Usually camp at the track since my truck is ready for it. Last time it was already too hot and I had to call an audible and ditch the bike/trailer at the track to find a nearby hotel lol.

Ah nice, I considered those but wasn't sure if the electric ones would last an entire day/weekend without needing a recharge at some point? primarily due to warmers, since those are such high wattage. I'm sure for anything else it's more than enough though. I still wanna snag one of the electric ones for camping eventually, and just as an alternative/backup.

My bluetti is 2x the size of his mentioned jackery, and it looks like warmers could easily chew through my capacity in about an hour and 45 minutes. Seem generator would be the way to go for sure.

Yup from what I recall in my research an electric powerstation with enough life to power warmers for an entire day would require something like 5-6k amp hours(?). Not sure if I have the right terminology as I'm clueless when it comes to electrical stuff but something along those lines, basically a home backup. Overkill for a track day I think

Probably 5-6K watts, or close to 500ah. that's a lot of batteries, lol. Mine could be expanded that large with add on batteries, but definitely not cost effective for your use.

Yeah I believe you're correct haha. Definitely not cost effective unfortunately.

    Lets go!

Nice! Can't go wrong with the Uhaul trailer, rented it many times before I had the space to keep one. I'd like to be able to camp at the track too and do a whole weekend, need to look into options. I've been using my trailer but could probably fit the bike and everything in my truck...

Slap a Scout on there and comfortably camp as long as you want! :D

Nice! Yeah having the GFC makes track camping much more simple. Though it has removed any hope of not needing a trailer unless I start tracking a grom or something lol. That looks like perfect track weather

U-Haul trailer and truck mounted awning are the way! I couldn’t imagine having to store everything for a track day in the cab. Cooler, power, leathers, tools/equipment, fuel etc., I’d quickly be out of room.

I've wondered how my truck would handle with a Bike on the trailer hitch... I tow regularly in the 4k-4.5K pound range. Usually with a good amount of tongue weight. Seems a 400-ish pound bike would be manageable with my setup and a hitch carrier.
