We don't really have much cold down here. When it did get into the 20's this year, I felt it the first day. Nothing since. It wasn't really a pain....just knew it was there.

So I'm trying to buy the hub and spokes from Partzilla. It has 44635-KZZ-J00 listed as the hub. When I click on the part it shows it doesn't fit...yet under the fitment.....it does :annoyed:

I sent an email to them just to make sure. Everything I see has that part as the factory hub.

I think I’ve been working permanent sundays for 9-10 years now. Yes, it sucks.

Company stripped any kind of weekend enjoyment from me. And trying to do anything with others always got jacked up with dates changing or what have you. Also doesn’t help that my stupidvisor would wait till the very last minute to approve any vaca at all.

Didn’t mean to go on a rant.

    Gross.

Been there done that on your second part. Out of town 2 weeks and 1 weekend home repeatedly at the last job for 9 years. Done with that.

I put in "bare minimum" time now. 40 hour weeks unless im out of town (just so i dont have to come back). Not working weekends. Not going to travel last minute. They can kiss my ass. One thing ive learned is going above and beyond with my time to the company hasnt gotten me anything other than shit "raises" thatd id get anyways for cost of living

Yup. My super asked my why I don’t give more. I told him why. With out skipping a beat, he said, well you are graded on giving more. I told him I gave my self and life to the Army, this job is not the Army. Too totally different animals. He reply was, you need too.

I have been at this place for to long and it’s all I know. Yes I’m making excuses to better myself, but it is what it is. A few more years and I’m taking the early retirement when it comes back around, if I make it that far.

Yup. They act like theyll give a decent raise for going above and beyond but they never do. Then meets expectations doesnt get shiiiit. Even though youre clearly doing what is expected.

Nah no thanks. Ill take my freetime.

Even last year i got "hit" with the i wasnt going above and beyond on my projects to get them done. F you. I told the 3 different PMs the entire time that it physically doesnt work and the projects sat on their floor for 2 years because of it.

I went ahead and ordered the hub, spokes, and bolts. Everything I saw said that part number was the factory hub. Maybe Partzilla just had it wrong? The rotor is all that's left. I found an EBC for $143ish.

Yeah the company I work for is crap also. Same thing, give more, work long days, work Saturdays. I'm done end of July this year. I'm retiring. I'll work part time somewhere doing something I'll enjoy just for pocket and tool money. I give nothing more than I have to at this point, just riding out my time. It's time to slow down and enjoy life more. I plan to ride the bike more too!

New helmet should be there when I get home from work. Tracking info shows delivery between 11:20-1:20 today. I'm impressed. Ordered from Italy on 2/19 in the evening and it'll arrive today by Fed Ex. Pics to be posted later....

Got to ride both days of the weekend and rode to work today. Bit cool this morning, saw a low of 23 crossing a stream right behind where I work. Supposed to be over 50 when I get off this afternoon.

I had a plate n 5 screws on the big bone of my big toe for ~8 months, decided to get it removed as it was irritating me (felt like i needed to itch the inside of my skin). Glad I did the doc was like man those screws were loose .... thanks doc i know im a bit weird haha. If its not needed id say get the hardware removed.

For all the people dealing with the super cold.... it was 73deg out yesterday so I did a ~100mi ride, was one of the first warmer weekend days at the coast this year and MAN all of the bikini clad beautiful women were out.

    20250223_145129.jpg

This made up for the saga of the RM85 build. When I got it I realized man, shes got pretty low compression, though I have never had a little mini 2 stroke dirtbike so maybe thats just how they feel kick starting. I got it running and put back together on sat for her maiden voyage under my command. She was RIPPING did a couple laps around the block and everything seemed fine.....

Coming back to the end of my cul de sac I heard a weird noise for ~3 seconds and then the bike seemed to loose power but then came back. Hmm. pulled into the garage everything seemed fine, changed the transmission oil as it was heated up now. Cool let me go take it for a ride again. Couldnt get it started and it felt really low on compression. OK well lets try and bump start. Put it in 3rd PULL CLUTCH IN and start pushing..... WHAT THE HELL the motor is spinning over even though clutch is in from the little friction that still exists.

Pull it apart and found this..... UGGGGGH
    20250222_194145.jpg

The ring was cracked in half an missing ~ a 1/8th in piece that obviously got smashed around between the piston and head. My working theory is that because of how new the piston looks and how new the bore looks (sans new vertical scoring from the chip) is that the previous person bored the cylinder out .5mm (piston is labeled .5mm over) but failed to also hone/adjust the powervalve. The ring cracked hence low compression when kicking as there was no spring tension to seal but once running the ring got pushed out to the cylinder wall. The cracked spot was right at an exahust port which in the end got caught by the powervalve and cracked off a piece.

Anyways. the head is mangled but im going to smooth it out with a dremmel as best as possible without making the dome bigger, Id get a used good head but they are all 100+. I got a .5mm over piston coming and will stone hone the cylinder as its mostly good outside of one spot where the chip got dragged.... not looking to have to send the cylinder out to get bored out more, not on a bike that even after the piston / top end kit purchase is still only 800$
