That's a bit of a ride for me just to meet up....I did know one really knowledgeable FJR guy in Oregon but sadly he passed away about a year ago or I'd refer you to him since he would have been local. Like I mentioned though earlier feel free to PM me with any questions and I'll do my best to help you out.

Tbh I'm not in the market for anymore motorcycles. I've been searching for a clean not modded mk4 24v vr6. But every single 1 in my area is trashed and modded and expecting 10k for high mileage. The I know what I got bs. Yea modded garbage. I had one years ago before I bought my truck now im missing it.

Probably one of the best sounding v6 motors imo out there.

Let me see if I can find a picture of it. Bike only has 11k mi before it was parked. I told him if he ever decides to sell it to make sure he let's me know first. I've been haggling with my buddy for yearsss to get it from him.

Couldn't find a picture of his bike hidden someone in my phone. But this is a screenshot from Google of the colorway of said bike.

His bike had a full hrc exhaust system on it. Super rare.

Guess we have the same feeling. That thing is clean. I've owned 2 vw. First was a 99 Wolfsburg 1.8t and 03 vr6. Although the vr6 was dog shit slower i enjoyed it more than the 1.8t.

i tell my self im not in the market for a bike but i still want another supermoto haha. i get what you mean on wanting a car you had before... i thought i found a good deal on a old beater of a 1st gen runner but the place never contacted me again about it! atm i have a 90s civic which was fun but im going to part it out and sell everything off and either keep the cash to go towards a camper or buy a old toyota pickup or runner.

It has compression but has a bad bearing noise when the crankshaft is spinning. Found a positive wire not attached. It has a lanyard kill switch and a keyed ignition

I bought a 2000 accord for a beater so I don't add miles on my taco. Welp it didn't last long now im out 2300. Damn block cracked. Not even worth dropping more money into it. Major kick in the nuts. Been waiting for it to get warmer out so I can pull some of the new parts out and junk the car.

Mine started to get timing chain rattle and I hastily sold it to Carmax because I didn't have the money to do the chains. I'm always on the lookout for another one, especially now that the truck is paid off. The noise they make is so good! The MK5 wasn't especially fast--even with "FBO", but it was so much fun in the canyons with the windows down. All it needed was a good aftermarket suspension and some bushings and it handled like it was on rails.
