It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
i thpught you might live across west end where all the streets are the names of states. is there much of a riding scene up there?

ohhh lol, nah I don't live in Sylvan Park. I know another member here does though. The riding scene is decent... since the season is relatively long and the roads are hilly and twisty (more so than Alabama anyways). A lot of dudes like to sit up at the big Exxon station near Broadway... the equivalent of mall-crawling if you ask me. Too much sitting and talking, not enough riding!

No one post videos of riding, lol. Tried out a new area by myself on Labor Day. Nothing crazy, but I'll post another one if I actually do something interesting and remember my go pro. There was a bunch of hill climbs I want to try when I get a buddy to ride with me.

The 500 seems to be more popular. You can't go wrong with either. Never rode the 450s but the guys at the dealership said they feel pretty close the same.

    plan to upgrade carb?
the 500s are excellent bikes. i have multiple friends who ride them on the street too and put countless hours without issues.

ah missed it. id really suggest getting the carb at the same time. big bore wont do much if you dont have the fuel to supply it (maybe your stock one can, idk?)

the pumper carbs make a huge difference in performance. even on my drz it was extremely noticeable

I just found out everyone hates Yammie Noob? Does anyone else watch these BSing motovloggers? I think cyclecruza is the only one that's not completely obnoxious and has useful info in his vids.. well and fortnine.

I really only watch the dirt bike motovlogs specific to Socal desert riding. The street bike and SM are kinda boring unless they are jumping off sidewalks and riding up stairs. I prefer that they are good riders just because they actually talk about doing certain enduro techniques. Like learn to jump over a k-rail. I also like to watch ones that have good wrenching techniques.

I've put 80 miles on the Duke in the last 2 days, riding around the city streets with my roommate.

It was all city streets, no freeway and lots of stop lights lol. Gonna do longer rides once it's done with the break in and I can really take it on the freeway for more than a few min.
