Ok that's a cool bike. Essentially a VTR1000 that's been adventurized.... Man Honda during the early 2000s through say 2015 had so many cool models that never made it to the USA. I always drooled over cool ones like that. I bet it sounds awesome and rides great.

just a couple of things tbh
Not less toys just more garage!
That is a bummer but it's understandable on why you had to.
    It's called road runner.
A sm does just fine off-road or on gravel just got a get use to it tbh. I took mine all over with SM wheels and it felt more planted then my dirt setup for me at least.

I made a new summer screen for my FJR. I’m very pleased with how it turned out.

End of the road this morning at 10:00 am. 10,750'.

I did go thru a small bit of snow to get this far and the tires are just not made for it. Stopped at one point and thought I was gonna need a push. :rofl:Lot's of tire spinning to get to the gravel below.
    On the way back.

Someone mentioned getting used to street tires on the dirt and it's a real thing. I was airing down last year, this year I got lazy and have stayed at street pressure and it seems to do just fine. A few hours of gravel road and the trust factor on the tires goes way up. Would still like to go more aggressive so the random snow ain't so slippery.

Looks like a fun time haha. Before I ever do anything with the tracer on dirt or gravel I was told to get a skid plate... It's oil filter and pan are very low!

I did, on this bike it's the exhaust hanging down low. Loses around 2 1/2" of ground clearance with the pipes and skid plate.
I put more miles on dirt today than pavement and thinking I might need a more dirt oriented bike because I had to pass up a number of trails this bike prolly would struggle on. Suspension is just too soft.

What're you airing down to typically, and where / when do you air back up? I've been considering it for some of the rockier trails I've been frequenting, but really don't want to haul gear with me if I can avoid it.

Torque check was good. After clean and lube turns out it was barely out of spec. The LH adjuster nut has loosened a tiny amount though. Cranked it back up, wedged a rag into the sprocket and torqued down to 90 this time around. Sag sitting in the mid point of spec, swear it seemed looser after yesterday's ride.

I drop 10psi from where ever it is at the beginning of the road/trail, and aired back up 10psi just before getting back on the pavement. Since the pressure rises with altitude and temp, I check what it is and adjust 10psi from there. Seems to work pretty well as the next morning I'm within 1-2 pounds.

Yaaa that's fair my bike is a sport touring bike but people state it can do slow speed gravel and dirt if you find your self on it. But it needs a guard where the oil pan and filter is since it's right in the open.

The FJR is a sport touring bike but I've ended up having it places it had absolutely no business going. During one of the Mason Dixon rallies years back the Garmin rerouted us and told us to take a turn about 5 miles short of where it first had us heading. My ex g/f was behind me on a Harley Superglide and almost as soon as we made the turn it was no longer paved. GPS indicated only a short distance, so we figured we'd be okay. That turned into 7 miles of unpaved, muddy, goat path where there was zero possibility of stopping and turning around. Ground was so soft that either bike would have fallen over if you tried to put the kickstand down. It was slightly wider than single track and we were screwed. We knew we were in trouble when a group on quads started pointing and laughing. Finally, after struggling for over 6 miles, which took us well over 30 minutes we could see a paved road further down from where we were. A guy on a dual sport heading the other direction stopped and asked if we were okay and told us the hard road was only about another half mile. He also informed us that had the GPS not told us to take this "so called" road and if we'd stayed on our original track the hard road we now could see is where we would have ended up to begin with.

After the rally when we were talking about our little adventure I gave the name of the road and the rally master was awestruck that we'd made it. It's one of those roads in the state forests that are not maintained and open only seasonally.

I travel a lot for work and a million Seattle dollars and 300K Michigan dollars gets you the same house, but ones on 10 acres.

Made some new friends last weekend and went and did the Mountain Loop hwy to 530 loop today. Got to Darrington and the heavens let loose.

Brought some rain gear thank god, but still got soaked.

Thankfully once I hit the highway it mostly stopped raining, but def made for an adventurous day.

Haha that's wild! When I showed up to adventure palooza on the bolt a lot of people were shocked! I took it hill climbing and trail riding and it was tough but it was fun! The tracer is taller and new to me so dirt is sketchy ATM haha. Still getting use to this sporty thing and being able to actually learn it's odd!

I changed the mufflers on the bonneville yesterday. Very happy with them, it sounds much better now and not to loud. A nice deep tone and not crackly The shortys will make accessing the chain adjuster bolts much easier.
