Swapped the rear sprocket today because why not. That rear wheel is ridiculously easy to remove and replace with a center stand.

Not much room for another tooth, but just right for the 47t to replace the 46t. Just enough slack to feed the chain on/off, plenty of room for adjustment. Plus the black looks sporty.:D
Started at 3.29 stock, went to 3.07 and now at 3.13, which raised it 200rpm. Seems to be a much better sweet spot for acceleration and will prolly help with the heavier tires. Cornering in gear feels better, not over-revving or lugging now.
    96°out with a real feel of 105°.

Nice thanks for sharing your experience. I was just doing the mental gymnastics on how to handle audio and landed on the same thought as you - keep it simple and direct between phone and headset.

Forgot to update y’all over here, but I added another one to the stable a couple weeks ago. I’ve got a 90 mile commute one-way to work now, so wanted something a bit more relaxed. Since I’ve been coaching at the local dealership, they’ve started to see me as part of their staff. I think I got a good deal on this sucker: 2007 Softail Custom with only 12k miles on the clock.

One of my friends recently picked up a Carpuride knockoff on Amazon. Pretty funny that it's a knockoff of a knockoff, but he's had good luck with it. Way better than he expected.

Perfect overcast day today so got out about 10am and washed the house. I have vinyl siding so used pool essentials and used an x-jet nozzle on the pressure washer. 4 hrs and it’s clean. Also pressure washed the upper deck and that looks way better. That took about 1 1/2 so only 3 1/2 to do the house.
That’s one chore off the list. Feels good to have that done. And best yet the wife is happy.

My wife scheduled to have a company come out and do our house and driveway and such a few weeks back. The day before they were supposed to show up, they cancelled, said the guy that was scheduled was injured on the job. Said a machine malfunction ended up spraying the guy with the hardcore cleaning agents and he got severe chemical burns... And instead of leaving it at that, as if we thought they were lying, they sent a picture of the dude's arm as he lay in a hospital bed. WTF?? lol.

Noticed the last time I rode my Buell the vibration through the footpegs and even seat seemed a lot more than normal. Little research led me to suspect the rear isolators were shot. These are a sort of rubber biscuit that sandwiches between the pivot shaft of the swingarm, and the metal support plates for the footrests and controls. Found out they are still available as it's a Harley Davidson part used of FL touring models up to around 2008 and older FXR models. Of course, they're on back order until November 1. While out riding on Saturday picking up GLMC tour bonus locations I stopped at a Harley dealership that used to handle Buell, so I figured I'd try my luck and surprise! 2 sets in stock so 1 set went home with me.

On the lift table ready to tear into it.

    Close up of isolator plate.

Disconnect shifter rod, remove the 3 flat head screws then I can get to the isolator.

This will be the first time changing them in 50k and 30 years so I can't complain. It was a bit of a bitch doing it and sadly I should have taken more pics. Got this side done last night and the other side torn apart. Right side slightly more difficult with the rear master cylinder in the way.

Finally finished up about 30 minutes ago.

Still needs a test ride but need to wait until tomorrow so I can get this one off the table and out of the garage.

    I need a bigger garage!

Looks like you could take one of those cases off and fit at least a klx300 or some motard bike in there!

Wait do you have both of your FJR's running the same plate? Also nice plate on the Buell.

then I noticed this man has a plate surround with his username on it, I'm guessing from the FJR forums. that's dedication!

Look closer. The red bike tag is IBAOK the Grey bike is IBA0K. PA allows the use of both O and 0 so when I realized I could do it I just had to.

That was a fundraiser to support FJRiders.com to help the owner with operating expenses. A member there 3D printed them with your screen name and the site logo. I'm hoping they do another run and I'll get another with red in it and move that frame to the Grey bike.

I have the W502 on mine. It's been fine. I thought I burned the first one up b/c it wouldn't turn on after the wreck. Carpuride sent a brand new one. Come to find out it was just the fuse. It was too costly to return so they said keep it. I gave it to one of my docs to put on his SXS at his farm.
