My plan is to eventually pick up a cheap early 90s/late 80's regular cab long bed with a manual transmission. I see them pop up around here from old farmers every couple months for under $4,000.

Something like this guy: Honestly don't even mind it's been lowered hah

just a couple of things tbh
They haven't tbh but if you return a vehicle I guess you get black listed in a sense.

The dealer called back and told me the amount for everything which is the correct amount. They then asked us there any amount that you deem appropriate to comp you so we don't have to do this process? I told her yes it's been the same answer since the Thursday just cover the reg fees and do it for me so I don't have to go to the DMV that's all I asked for...

Ah so its more like my golf one then. I guess i had the "hidden hitch". The actual receiver was behind the bumper plug.

Hmm. Good to know about the mpg. Im not sure how much id use it either though realistically.

Coming from the 4runner where I was getting mileage in the low teens, I'm happy with mid 20s to low 30's

Would you keep the bike if they were willing to compensate you fairly, in your opinion?

I only ask because a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. They would be really dumb to not try and make this right, and instead buy back a bike that has titling issues and more miles/wear and tear than when they sold it.

But I wouldn't fault you for wanting to wash your hands of the issue entirely and start fresh.

So yes I did comment that up above but I did state yes I would take a fair comp which to me was just register the thing for me by sending all the paperwork in so I don't have to waste my time at the DMV and they cover the cost. About 600 bucks that's it..

But the owner got back with me and said I have two options...

Option 1 I get the title fixed and that's it nothing no fees covered nothing. But the bike is maybe fixed? It's a gamble if the title will be fixed...

Option 2 bring the unit back and get my 3800 bucks back for everything and I go my separate ways.

ATM I'm leaning towards getting my money and walking away there is no proof this will be correct again... Each time I've been told it will be right it was wrong...

Yes I might have to travel for another bike or just wait for a good deal one to show up then well I will.

man that's insane. i would take the full refund and walk then.

Can't believe they would rather take the bike back than just cover the fees/reg lol.

I know you said you aren't that kind of asshole, but at this point i would definitely leave a review. that's terrible business on their end. No need to ruin their reputation, just recount what happened factually, and let future readers make their own decision.

Are they not going to pay you for the stuff you've done to the bike? If I owned the business, I'd just eat that $600 to have a happy customer. The old saying "A happy customer will tell one person, an angry one will tell 10" comes to mind

At this point you tried, they aren’t willing to do anything for you which is a shame. Take the money and run.

I know I was kinda shocked by the response as well... I find it dumb to eat that cost as well but ya know oh well I'm going to take my money elsewhere..
I will be taking the stuff I've done off the bike which is only the tank bag and a phone mount. The rest all came with the bike. I honestly was shocked they wouldn't pay the 600 and would rather pay me out and take the machine back.. oh well.
I have and man im just tired... This entire thing has sucked and I know I'm not done until I sign the papers to sign the bike away..

But ya that's the plan to take my money and go elsewhere.

Don't worry, that isn't my car. I still have my F1 brake light. It only flashes in reverse though, I turned off the flashing on braking, I'm not a total Kyle

Amazon finally delivered my jacket. Will test it out tomorrow. It's been in the 90's, so should be a decent test.

Rite rite. and that is the part that really sucks. You tried something new, found out you like and enjoy it, and then selling dealer cannot rectify things.

Think of it as a sign. Used bike buying season is still a couple months away, you might just get a better deal on something else.
