I guess I'm thinking of it from the owner perspective and if I had an employee that I found out was not being completely honest/transparent, I would (at the very least) chew them out and tell them to make it right. Do mistakes happen? Of course, and I understand that but, to my mind, they should be bending over backwards to make it right for you and it just seems like they've dragged it out/worn you down to where you're now just happy to make go away. That's not how you keep customers, much less grow as a business. And, having been in that type of situation multiple times before, I'm just empathetically pissed FOR YOU!

just a couple of things tbh
id agree and most normal dealers prob would do exactly that this dealer ya no... i couldnt even get 650 to have them cover the registration shit! so i doubt ill get a cent more then what ive paid into it already..
i agree with you there but the owner sided with the sales manager... those two have worked together for a long time so they trust each other but not for a good reason...

i do think they should have done a lot more when this mistake was on them and it should have been resolved easily... but as stated they drug ass and worn me down to the point im just tired and im sick of looking at the bike.. (not really thou it is very pretty lmao). i honestly dont know how they keep customers coming in with all the other bad reviews online i honestly dont know how!

    haha thanks i think haha.

Say they gave you $3K trade-in, then sold it for $4K..............that's bullshit that they screw you over and still make a profit. I get that for most people it's not worth fighting.......but my best friend is a lawyer, so I always have him sitting in my corner to handle things. I'd be screaming from the rooftops over this one.

I get that shit happens....but they absolutely shouldn't profit from it. They should absolutely give you the money made from the sale of the Bolt. Just imagine if all businesses did this. I'm pissed for you............gonna go take a BP med real quick

So you bought the tracer for $3800? How much for the bolt trade-in? How much are you getting back totally?

no no im getting 3800 back. the bolt was 3k trade in and the rest is coming from my payments and my insurance which is rather high on that bike!

i bought the tracer for 9500 with warranty's without it would have been 6k something? and yes before you ask the warranty's are getting taken off so the dealer just pays it off.

You should at least leave a review, might stop someone from having to go through the same experience. At the very least they'll take it more seriously the next time it happens.

So the 3800 is cash essentially for the bolt and payments? Then they "buy" the tracer back to eliminate your loan?

You need to talk to your attorney before doing this, you are about to get screwed.
The dealer is the clear winner in this.

Dealer made money on your Bolt, and they will resell the Tracer and make money on that. You are essentially left with a meager trade in amount, anxiety and lost time. Not to mention being black listed from the dealer. I could be wrong though.

no you are correct in this. but thats the thing im getting back the money i put into it. and the value for my bike if i sold it private sale tbh. yes the dealer made money on the bolt but i dont see how im entitled to get that money when it was no longer mine. the tracer honestly unsure if they will even make money on it but if they do again it wouldnt be mine and it wouldnt be my money either so i guess i dont see it?

edit: i had planned to talk to her and i just got off the phone with her (was waiting on a call back) gave her the information and she told me if they are cutting you even to back to square one with all the money you went into it with. then this is the easiest way to go.

now if you are going to die on said hill you can start the legal process but it will take 1-2 years and its not fully sure you will even win so its fully up to you on that one.

overall i dont think im getting screwed im getting the money i put into it back in my pocket to go elsewhere. yes it sucks they sold the bolt and made some money on it but again it wasnt my bike anymore so im not entitled to have that money. you can fight for it but that doesnt mean you will get it.

The dealer is also going to be back to a bike they must have clear title on again before being able to sell it.

It's just a damned shame you had to go through with all of this BS. I think it was likely you would have really enjoyed the Tracer and had a lot of fun owning it. Time to start looking for the next one.

yuuup i called the title portion in my state and gave them the quick run down on the title and they told me. "even if the dmv accepted the title with all those issues we would reject it since there is no clear intent with all the fixes and signed documents so it would then need a new title and at that point the dealer wouldnt help me anymore most likely.

i agree man i loved that bike! been looking at others and have found a lot of them around. i am interested in a few others to check out but unsure if ill like them as much as i liked the tracer it was just a damn good bike with great power and playfulness to it!

Did you do the work? I always wanted to slap an m.unit onto my cb750. But then I sold it, soooo... Always seemed like a slick piece of kit though.
