Had a puncture recently, was time to replace the rear anyway, down to the belts... My bike was down for a bit, it's nice to have new rubber, even if the shakedown was like rollerblading on ice, still have a little release agent to wear off the ears but it's great to be in the saddle again.

By the way, continental may make a decent M/T but I was not at all a fan on their conti-milestones.

Now running Michelin Commander II like them much better so far, much more responsive and has better feedback with less noise.

Ignore the rat's nest garage... :anonymous:

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
holy shit that is some serious center wear you got there lol

Yeah... I'll actually drag frame before my chicken strips max out, there's about a 1/4" of tread I can't touch.

Most wear though is from a couple of long distance road trips on this heavy bike. (670lbs wet no rider then add me and gear an extra 200lbs or so.) Were talking a few +1000 miles in a day type trips. Only been 2up a handful of times.

That said the tire wore out WAY too quickly for not ever doing any hot rodding unless you count hard engine braking on tail. The wear was the main reason I switched out the conti's. Well, that and to run a tire with a pattern that doesn't look like it belongs on the side of something from the 90's.
