Yup. I'd love to get the Altrider bars, but they quit naking them. Stuck with the shitty SW Motrash ones it came with.

Seat rep. emailed me and asked for pictures and will send out new seat. But will send pictures before shipping.
And told me to keep the seat. So the wait begins all over again.

Sort of like stuff for the FJR. Keep in mind production of new units has stopped so the aftermarket parts stop as well. Look to their specific forums though and it's not usually too bad finding what you want it just might take a little longer until one comes up and you might need to accept less than perfect condition on some stuff.

yaaa not a chance on that one lol. im not a dct person!

i find getting an auto moto is just pointless to me? the entire point is shifting and controlling the machine to how you want.

I get it. But I also see more and more videos and reviews about hardcore clutch only guys testing them and falling in love. Not cause they want to give up a clutch, but for specific types of riding that it just makes it easier/more relaxing. Not as their only bike, but as a touring bike, or one used in really dense, stop-and-go traffic.

The only real downfall it seems is with the fine clutch control sub 6mph. Putting it in manual mode doesn't solve that issue.

And I didn't say buy it, I said test ride!!

I really like the CVT in the Burgman for commuting. It definitely leaves more to be desired if you're trying to do anything else, but for regular street rides it does great.

i could see it being nice for a lot of stop and go traffic because ive been in that before and man it sucks. but thats about it tbh? long distance rides like touring you shift to 6th and you you sit there unless you need to downshift so i dont really see hondas reason to bring them only as autos.

i have heard of that tbh would be really odd.

haha fair but atm we are taking a break from looking at any larger cc bikes or touring bikes. atm we got our dual sports and they will do us fine for around town and going on trips. since atm even if we do trips emily would like to take her bike (unless not possible since it is a smaller and slower bike) so the plan to do longer touring trips has kinda dwindled with her wanting to ride more which is great! but that would have been nice to know before we got the tracer haha.

only reason she wants a bike thats still good for two up, is for those times she wants to ride but is to tired to ride by her self.

i just couldnt do it lol. only moto ive ridden thats cvt is my buddys mopeds that he had and they were goofy fun but man they still just sucked haha.

CVTs definitely have their place. They work wonders in a SxS. Everyone always wanted a manual SxS, and Yamaha finally put one out and people realized that was super niche. CVT just works.

I think people assume the DCT is more like a CVT, but that's not really the case. Shifting is super smooth, and there are enough settings to change you can make them act however you want. Quicker upshift for MPG, or hang onto gear longer for acceleration. Same in the other direction, hardcore engine braking where it shifts down the second you let off, or that'll stay in the higher gear until you're crawling, lol. I think this NT is also one of the first years where they have an angle sensor to stop the transmission shifting while cornering (I'm assuming the AT will have that too, now). That has definitely surprised my wife a couple times on her DCT, when it shifts strangely in a corner. But it's only happened maybe 2x so far where she's said anything.

And of course, you can just use the manual mode, and you'll have full control. And while I did complain a bit about the low speed maneuvers, i will also say it makes loading the bike on a trailer on sketchy ramps much easier!
