just a couple of things tbh
so thats the bike i saw yesterday!

there was one right next to the cb650 at the dealer. tbh i liked the 650 more it was comfy minus the feat position it would have to be something to get use to for me.

It's my understanding he has the newer one that wasn't supposed to have the issue. He didn't think it would be covered by warranty, but the dealer asked KTM and they said they'd cover it. He's also had a multitude of sensors fail and the thermostat housing leak. Every time it took ages to get parts. He luckily still has his old Versys that has well over 100k miles on it as a backup. He commutes daily on his bikes, and takes very good care of them. He has also done some of the BDRs with it, so wasn't bought as just a commuter bike.

Obviously it's just a single bike, but it is one of the few KTMs i've been around regularly and he's had far too many issues with it. It's probably down almost as much as his old Ural was, lol.

Just have fun with it. Go test ride a bunch of bikes and see what you really do fall in love with. I've definitely fallen in love with things before and been damn glad I waited and ended up finding stuff even better. Research research research, and test ride EVERYTHING! lol. lotsa things look good on paper, but aren't in reality, and vice-versa.

I'm shocked you haven't added a new bike yet, too. I really think you would have liked the hornet though. Upright seating position but still sporty, useable not-stupid amount of power but more than enough power still. I think it would have checked your boxes.

Rite rite. I have no need for that bike at all. Just liked the green frame. That made it pop like a champ to me, which made it look good.

I don’t ride 2up so that isn’t a concern for any bike I get. I wouldn’t think it would be a good 2 up bike though.

I almost landed on one of these before I settled on the Ducati. They're significantly cheaper than their sport version. Pretty cool bikes.

In today's update on my exhaust purchase...looks like I'm going full titanium

turns out there isn't a single stainless steel version within the US, all would have to order from italy and there's none in stock over there either, so it will be made to order. The company I ordered from gave me a decently hefty discount on the titanium one for the hassle, so I'm getting it for anywhere from $500-$2.5k less than other vendors I can find, and it should ship out next week.

fingers crossed because my valve service is coming up pretty quick, and i'm hoping to have it installed at the same time to save a bit on labor.
