Dunno I've seen older ones here in Canada with the red and blue schemes. I'd also be buying used.

Huh. I think I've only seen the black, red and black, and then the white with some form of red and blue on them. Do you have any pics by chance?

This is a 2024 in Texas, maybe we're crossed up but this is the one I mean.

Ah, okay. Those are the one's I meant are a black bike with red on them, though I may be incorrect. The red could be more than just decals.

I originally wanted an AT as well, but once I found out there were shaft drive ADVs I kinda stopped following the AT. Damn sexy bikes, though. Love their look.

Not a bad plan. Save the cash for a rainy day and work on paying down debt. Never know what the future holds, but less debt is always a good starting point.

Lol minus my house I don't got any so I'm golden. The gf only has that shitty Dodge dart... She is working on paying it down as well to afford a nicer car.

ATM I'm gonna use some of the cash to get new suspension for the truck and fix a few things that I want fixed and done to it. Other then that ya it's all in savings.

Left at 7am to beat the heat going home. Saw this guy, he's been out most mornings harassing the dogs on the other side of the fence. There has been a large amount of turkey's out this year, I see them almost every day. One needs to get closer to my garage...

Deadman fire lookout tower. Haven't been up here for a few years. You are allowed to hike to the top and if it's open, you can go inside. I have a card from decades ago signifying that I am an official member of the nuttier than squirrel shit club for making my way to the top.

The signs are newish, they weren't here a few decades ago.

    Elevation.

Perfect temp. I'm guessing around 50-55. Topped out at 100 at the bottom of the canyon.

Top of the pass before I made my way home with the herd of RV's

Always fun to look, though. While Nicole was taking her test Friday I rode over to a bike shop and perused the inventory. Sadly no KLX300 to sit on. Only a couple 230s. What I notice more than anything when looking at bikes is how short I am, lol.

Finished the fender today. Took about and hour and a half to cut and buff. Was easier this time because I paid closer attention to the application and there was less orange peel to sand flat.

Also been researching bike again. I want to downsize the amount of bikes and just have the monkey and one other bike. So that would mean selling the Klx and Harley.
The one bike needs to be comfortable, sporty with good adjustable suspension, 425lbs or less, stylish (objective) decent power without being too much, something I could ride at the track and doing longer day trips, 10k or under price. The bike that I believe fits that is the 2025 xsr900. The MSRP is $10,599 but should be able to get a left over 25 next year for $1000 less. Should be able to get at least 4K for the Klx and $6500 for the Harley. That will get me real close to an Xsr. I have enough cash saved up to pay cash for one right now but should sell the two first.
Still just a thought but need to list the bikes and see what happens.

I did not have you selling more bikes on my TW Motorcycles BS Thread 2.0 bingo card

I get selling the Harley, I'm surprised by the KLX though. XSR900 is a good looking bike. Are you going to regret not getting something with a windshield for the longer trips? I know that's my biggest complaint on the 701 if I go highway speeds for any length of time.

naked bikes are fun until you get out of the city. then fighting the wind and bugs gets old fast.

I actually like the wind. I took the windshield off the Harley. Most longer day trips will be over hwy 20 and things like that. They also sell a real cool front faring for them that makes it look much better. The Klx is fun but trying to make room in the garage with just having one bike and the scooters. Gets old moving things around all the time to get space to work.

Just got back from a ride and beer stop with the wife. Told her about what I was thinking about the bikes. Her response was “ do what makes you happy “ wow that is not what I was expecting.
Bikes are now listed on FB marketplace. Will hit CL next week. Just a waiting game now.
