Africa Twin is my serious next consideration.

Rode a CB650R today, another naked bike but a lot easier to ride than the super duke.

I will say the honda 650 4 banger is a really cool sounding engine.

I still need to ride my other buddies MT07 CP2, but right now as it stands the Honda 650 is easily the best sounding bike I've ridden. (better than the R6 and superduke easily)

I may sit down this off stretch and at least get the front one done(have all the stuff). I still need to buy a sprocket and rotor for the rear..........although I could easily lace it........I don't know about truing it though. I haven't watched any vids on that yet :D

Extra lighting is a great return on investment IMO. I've got extra lights on both FJRs and it's made a huge difference in stopping folks from pulling out in front of me. I'd recommend putting lights on or near the front fender mounting hardware, so they turn with the forks. Being low like that it creates a "triangle of light" that tends to really catch people's eyes. Have someone help you aim them properly. You want them level when you're on the bike and I like having the left beam pointing perfectly straight but the right side tilted a few degrees to the right to light up the road shoulder and help spot wildlife. I'm a self-admitted Clearwater lights fanboy. Pricey, but really well made with great instructions and they stand behind their product.

Do you stick with DOT approved or do you not care about cutoff? You mention aiming, so I'm leaning towards them being DOT, otherwise aiming doesn't make much difference hahaha.

I see that Ural is making a baby hack. The Neo 500. I kinda dig it. Don't know if it's worth the 15K expected price though.

The 750 ural was lacking in power... this will be even worse. Might be fun if you never ever hit the freeway.

    41 hp/ 42 tq vs estimated 35hp / ?? tq

I saw the top speed was 70-75. I look at those bikes the same as my little Rally................Imma stay off the interstate unless I absolutely have to get on it :D I think a Ural would be such a cool backroad/camping bike.

I wish Cleveland Cyclewerks would have brought the Hauler to life. If memory serves, they were talking 11K price

    HAULER 500

    46.94 HP

ENGINE Twin cylinder, Water cooled, 4 – stroke, DOHC

    TRANSMISSION Automatic, 6 gears (5 forward+1 Reverse)

    SEAT HEIGHT800mm

    GROUND CLEARANCE 190mm

I always liked the design of their side cars. If I ever get to the point that my legs can't safely hold a bike up it would be cool to put one on my bonneville. The t120 would have plenty of power for that.

There was one on my local marketplace for 6 or 7K. I love the hacks.

The 2wd setup of the Ural is pretty cool. Sets it apart from anything else. Besides that, though, I don't see the appeal. Another (more reliable) bike with a side car seems like it'd be better in every way, lol.

My co-worker used to commute with his once in awhile between Tacoma and Kent. It was in rotation with his WR and Versys back then. It was simple to work on, but did require a lot of maintenance.

It does have the cool look though

Having driven a Polaris Slingshot and hating how low I sat... I don't think I'd be ok sitting in that sidecar.
