Yeah I'm with you on this one. I'm only 5'9" and I'm not a highly skilled off road rider either. And on top of that I'm 65. But I do really enjoy trail riding still and my little tdub is perfect for that. It would be nice to have a little more power when on road but off road it's fine. I really don't need to be going that fast off road anymore. I like the low seat height when I do have to put a foot down, and it's only about 270 ish lbs so relatively lightweight. And dead simple and reliable.

Same, but that takes work. I'll stick to my lazy easy rides. :D

He did it in just a few years, and he's not the most athletic fellow. Helps of course to be able to ride everyday and get sponsored bikes. I'm able to ride most days, more than the average person I'm sure. But It's just me alone with no one to say "hey, you're doing it wrong". Or to get help when I really f-up.
I got into a remote area last week that made me think I prolly should have told someone where I was gonna be and when to expect me back. I did drop the bike for the first time, just trying to turn my ass around.

Tenere has a low seat option that drops it an inch, too. That'd make it only 1 inch taller than my bike. It being more dirtbike like, I could see it working decent, like you experienced.

Is it a requirement of this thread to be under 5'8"?

An older T6 like Itchy Boots rides would be perfect, if I could find one. I'm even ok with the carburetor.

I think she rides a T7 now, but she seemed to like the T6 a lot too.

The T7 was a loaner while in a foreign country, she's back on the T6 now.
She even mentioned at one point that it was too big of a bike for her
