haha idk man! been looking at mustangs and Camaros as of late.... i dont know why but for some reason im interested in something like that.

i did think of a gti and get an auto (ya i know boring..) but then the gf could drive it since she refuses to learn a manual car even thou she can ride a bike no problem!

so it takes out other fun cars... shoot i even found a 14 Miata club sport for 14k with low miles like come on man why no learn! lol

I like my golf r with the dsg auto. Such a fun car to drive. Other than it being a little small for us and 2 kids i have no driving complaints.

But v8 is fun too. This LS swap is already aggravating me though. Nothing went right this weekend

If he can find a skid that covers the damage... what the buyer can't see can't hurt the seller, right? lol

i do like the golf r ( edit i saw a few for 20-24k so thats not bad!) but idk if id truly need that so i was looking towards the gti models. you can get them in the 20k range.
was wondering about the auto do you miss having the manual with it or not really needed to enjoy the car?

yaaa thats why i keep looking back at those two lol. i like the look of the mustangs and i like the 5.0 but the Camaros are pretty neat as well just never been a big chevy person.

you doing a ls swap on your wifes car? what all went wrong?

Small town here so wouldn't miss pointing out the damage and repair if local sale. If dealer however, who knows :spy:.

Sister bought a KX100. We watched the kid ride around on it, shift through gears, etc. Everything seemed fine from that point of view. Took it home, and she went for her first ride and the engine failed after about 200 yards. Cousin put a new piston in and got the cylinder re-nikasiled (or however you spell that). He and his friend thought that was all that it needed. He road it around a few minutes and invited my sister to come out for a ride with them the next day. Died again quarter mile into the ride. He took the motor COMPLETELY apart and apparently it had been submerged and the bottom end had a bunch of mud in it, lol.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
It was an homologation special for Harley to qualify to race AMA Pro Superbike. They had Scott Russell as one of their riders.

You just never know. It looked really good.

But yeah, I hate buying used cause I seriously worry. But hey, at least our Honda's were both low mileage... and they're Honda's!

To be honest, Erik signed on the line...against his lawyer's advise. Erik, for as brilliant an engineer he is, was a terrible businessman.

I wanted awd specifically after my wrx. But yes i have zero regrets going with the DSG. My wrx was manual for reference. I either hit a paddle shifter and drop a couple gears or put it in sport mode which has some nice pull. I wouldnt even consider a manual in a golf with how good the dsg is imo.

Yes LS1 on the 80 firebird.

ya that is true! my klx looked good and seemed fine but it was a nightmare on my 03 for the longest time and then the top end went boom and i had to rebuild it..

yaa its hard to buy used but sometimes new is just to pricey!

ya i do like the awd but since i have the truck idk if id ever use the awd in winter since id just drive the f150. thats good to know the dsg is good that opens up an option for me to look into that the gf can even drive. ill have to go drive one sometime soon, id like a new one but 33k for a base model golf gti s seems like a lot when i can get a used 2020 for 23k...

i did find a golf r for 23k but its a 17 with miles in the 70k range.

ah sounds like a pain lol

New top box installed. Total cost, $free.99. I think it looks kinda funny in a good way. Still waiting on my buddy to get the title to me before I can ride it though...

ehhh i liked the grc but the price tag on them is nuts being in the 40k range... im also still iffy with toyota and the current lineup. plus a grc there is only two near me and both are 46k...

hey if you are like my ranger you got like 7k more miles haha.

hopefully not thou! im looking more in the 25k and less range ive seen a few options out there but not much for what im needing. plus with a grc the gf wont drive it since its a manual.... as much as id love it if she wont drive it then its a bit pointless tbh..

ah i gotcha ill have to do some reading to see how they are on reliability with higher miles. for 23k its not a bad deal i think for a 2017 but ive never really looked at the golfs to much so i dont know the values.

    how has yours been overall?
