It's too quiet here, so here's the most recent re-addition to my moto family. I took the picture on this side because the left side of both the bike and truck are a bit fucked, lol

Yep, I love the classic Harley look with the more modern update.

 

Or you love how Yamaha pulled off a new 3 cylinder with awesome smiles per gallon and crazy torque!! (And want to buy mine)

 

This would be the bike I get if I decided to go back to a street bike.

 

Seriously considering getting this 2018 WR250F. I was originally looking into the WR250R, but after seeing this, I knew it was the one. Went to the bank and applied for a loan so just waiting to hear back. There was a 450F in the showroom, but I think the 250 would be better suited for my first bike. 35mph is top speed limit throughout the island so don't really need the fastest bike....was never really a speed freak.

Would also need to find a street legal conversion kit.

 

I'd go R just because it's street legal, but that's just me. It certainly saves any hassle with the process.

 

The last R had just been sold and the next shipment wouldn't be until May/June next year. Yamaha said they'll install the kit free of charge as well as registering the bike for me to get it street legal. I like the look of the F a lot more too.

 

If they'll do all the work to make an f into an r for free that's purdy good deal.

 

They should throw in a helmet, stand, and 3 years of free maintenance for their asking price too.


MSRP is $8,099 but they're asking $10.5k.

 

Any idea on how much do they sell wr250r's for? I know msrp isn't really realistic where you're at.

And since speed isn't an issue, Honda and Kawasaki both make fuel injected street legal 250s that MSRP for under $6k.

 

I don't imagine it being too far off from the F. I've looked into other makes and models, and the WR was top of the list, for me at least.
