Anyone ride something other than a sport bike and wear a race suit while riding?

I’ve used one when I used to own a sport bike, which is what they are made for. But now that I’m riding a supermoto where is sit way more upright and move around a lot more I’m not sure how a shot would work.

They are kind of expensive to hope it works.

I bought mx gear but the thought of sliding down pavement in that isn’t too appealing.

mx gear all day. theres a few that wear suits but they do asphalt only classes in my series. mx gear holds up really well, youd be surprised. just get a fox ce armor to go under the jersey and knee pads under the pants. youll be fine.

ive only wrecked once where i actually cut myself to a probably stitch level, i wasnt wearing my elbow pads then though

Right now I have an alpinestars bionic (most expensive one whatever it’s called) suit for under the jersey and alpinestars knee pads too.

Most of my “aggressive” riding is canyons which is where I thought a suit might be nice. I wish some companies still made sm race suits. Then it would be easy.

Took my MSF class at the local Harley dealer this week. Brutal weather, overcast, mid 20s, with a little freezing rain. We took it on new 2018 street 500s. It was nice to do the class with a decent size bike and not a rebel 250, but nobody in the class was impressed with the 500s. Way too much slop in the throttles on all of them, half wouldn't start part of the time. Neutral indicator didn't work sporadically on any of the bikes.

On the plus side, it was a great class and I plan to go back to the dealer and take home a yellow 2017 forty-eight once my son takes back his Indian.

It's not my choice. It is my son's bike. I'll keep it as long as I can, but it will go away at some point.

Getting so damn tired of this winter weather. Just got a new job that changed my commute from about 5 miles to around 13 (super long I know) but still makes me so tired of my truck.

Can't wait for better weather and daily riding

I got this 95 xr250l about a week ago, had 450 miles on it when I got it, now about 800.
Haven't ridden in a long time, but it sure feels good to ride again!

There's a couple mods I'm looking at, rear rack, xr250r exhaust and carb, that's it for the near future.
Now I need to research the crf 450 mod...

The front you have to drill new hole and the rear takes some cutting but I can get pictures of how I did my buddies rear fender if you decide to do it. Took me bout an hour or two with cutting and mocking up but the outcome is worth it

How about ear plugs? I already have hearing loss in my left ear do to many years of shooting/hunting and tinnitus. Even rides as short as 10 miles cause my ears to ring slightly for an hour or so. I wear a Shoei Qwest full face helmet and do not have an overly loud exhaust. I don't know if it's wind noise or motorcycle, but it's something. I need hearing protection.

I'm looking at ordering these molded ear plugs: https://www.decibullz.com/custom-molded-earplugs/
They look like they will be comfortable with the helmet and longer rides, plus they aren't very expensive if I don't like them.

    Any recommendations?

i wear foam ear plugs all the time. cheap and easy. wind noise is probably a lot of the issue
