Decided to put my baffles back into the exhaust. Was suffering from mpg loss. Not from the loudness. Lets see how it does now.

 

Anyone in the Mid Atlantic region headed to VIR for the MotoAmerica races this weekend?

Weather is supposed to be a bit iffy, so will probably be a game time decision for me. Nothing worse than being soaked through the whole weekend while motorcycle camping and watching wet weather racing

 

Not going to VIR but will be at Pitt International Raceway in August when they are there. Went last year and it was a blast. Have fun if you end up going.

 

If I decide to bail on VIR, my other option would be Pitt.

I'm trying to support the series as that's what it's going to take to get our domestic series back on track. I used to regularly hit the races when it was AMA Superbike, then stopped when those idiots from NASCAR acquired the series. Now that Rainey and company are trying to fix it, I've been to the last two seasons and I feel compelled to catch the races when it's just a few hours from the house.

It's no MotoGP or World Superbike, but it's still fun as hell!

 

Last year was the first year I was able to attend any race event. I've been wanting to for years, but the way life goes I wasn't able to attend. My fiance and I enjoyed the crap out of it last year and we said before we left that we would be back this year. Our goal is to go around to all of the 'local' races. We will eventually go to Jersey and VIR. Would love to hit COTA one year. Definitely a blast and a great atmosphere to have some fun.

 

Yeah man, the races are a blast. COTA is on my short list too. VIR is a beautiful track too, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, it's worth the drive.

If you get a chance go to a GP or WSBK race if you can. Makes Moto America look like Little League!

Still on the fence for this weekend, weather still looking dodgy. Have fun at Pitt in August!

i meant to say that.. I took the bike out without a jacket.. got some color/sunburn haha.

I need to order a new helmet and gloves soon. A full face black helmet in 90 degrees is brutal

 

ah ok. i rode without a jacket today too. i carry spray sunscreen if im riding for a while.

my bell mx-9 isnt bad. more of a dirt helmet though. ill never go back to wearing a "street" helmet. even my shoei is ridiculously hot by comparison

 

Im still using my Icon Alliance GT.. have been putting off buying anything for a while.

 

i bought a transition lens for my helmet today with a gift card. figured if im not racing i dont need race gear this year
