Unfortunately going to have to wait until after weekend. The bike has a recall and parts are not stocked:annoyed:

First time buying new. Do dealers normally wait until they find a buyer before doing recalls?

    Pretty bummed and frustrated.

It’s a great deal so I am being patient. Just expected something like that to be done before someone looked at it.

Makes me start wondering about the crank chain I’ve been reading about hitting the block.

I think that is normal. Are you talking about the cam chain tensioner?

Yes, thanks for clarifying. Is it pretty rare?

I must have jinxed myself but on the plus side, when I get back from out of state it should be in my garage. :bikewheelie2:

my 2014 had that, and the last I heard, it was still an issue. Yamaha never came out with a fix. They told me if I put the manual tensioner in there, it would void the warranty. I just sold mine in February.

    Bummer. Reason for selling?

Mines a ‘15 with 0 miles. 1 year warranty never registered etc.

I’ve read where it usually happens early from about 400-1200 miles. I guess I have that going for me but any oem fix will just cause the same. Unless they upgrade it with a technical bulletin.

I tend to not keep things for a very long time. No mechanical issues. That bike was the first one over a year (bought new in December 2013, sold Febuary 2018)

    Love the color and exhaust.

Ive been eyeing that one and the M4.

This is what I got but I stole the image from the Google. I’ll get the a whole family portrait lined up for ya when and if it’s ever ready. :bananadead:

With the M4, I think you are going to need to cut your stock exhaust.. Its just a slip on.

I'm looking for a '15. I specifically don't like the newer ones because of the tank logos, new spoked wheels, and exhaust. I hear the forks are improved over the older models.

Ok. Enjoy. The exhaust is the first thing i changed. Loud pipes save lives.

Id highly suggest not getting ABS if you ever decide to change the bars. Ive been dealing with the brake lines for a while. I think I finally figured it out.

Mine is the 115th anniversary paint. I didn't see the other ones.

Its the 115th anniversary limited edition paint. Only 2400 were made. I believe its a $1500 option. The name is denim blue.
