Went to Harley dealership for touch up paint, test rode Fat Bob 114.. its a nice bike, but didnt get it. Would have been $40 more per month, for double bike though.

I thought i didnt like my bike, but I do.

What's your monthly with insurance? My current insurance through progressive is $175 annually, granted my bike is 500cc and 43 years old. I'm looking for a used model '48. 2015 or older.

Its $220 per month. I put $3k down. Total with prepaid maintenance, tire warranty, etc was $16k. I think 5.9% interest.

Im paying $1k per month on the bike though, including that 220. I just don't like payments.

There's nothing that rides like a sporty. My current softail is faster and more comfortable (only due to the larger size for my frame), but also heavier and nowhere near as nimble. I still want another sporty someday, probably go older and carbureted though.

As soon as I got back on to go home, I enjoy that torque and the nimbleness of it. Still need to work out some comfort things, but its all i need. Im not really into long road trips on bikes. I don't ride in rain either. Just around town/max 2 hours is good for a ride for me.

Same. Might be taking a road trip north on the new bike though. Looking into fairings- it actually helps enough where I can get over the Dyna-bro aesthetics.

When I had my FZ I paid $130/ month for insurance. But i also had 2 tickets on my Speed Triple from before that. But I also consider it from being a new bike, and higher insurance.

I bought a spare fuel canister over the weekend, and a new helmet too. No more full face Icon helmet on the Harley. ;)

Just need to install the foot pegs, and possibly taking the baffles out again. Then I can also start thinking about a seat.

We have a longtime family friends who has managed several Harley stores over the years. I'm hoping he'll be able to track down what I need and keep my payments < $250 a month with $2-3,000 down. His attitude is "a Sportster is a Sportster no matter what's been done to it. Show me the avg. price for used Sportsters and that's what I'm going to sell it for to move it off lot and make room for bigger bikes that bring in more money."

Shitty teaser photo. I can personally guarantee that no other softail out there has these bars. You’d have to be crazy to put that much work into getting these to fit.
