Picked up a 1992 Honda Shadow VT1100 with 2400 original miles for $800. Brand new tires, battery, ecu, and fluids. Was sitting in a garage for 20 years before an old guy found it, rode it for a couple years, and then sold it to me. I think it needs the carbs cleaned.

The bike idles perfectly and will idle for an hour straight if you let it. As soon as you give it some throttle, the thing dies. I think it has to be the carbs. The old dude who sold it to me said he stopped riding because he broke his leg and just doesn't feel like taking anything apart. What do you guys think?

Check for dry rotted lines as well. Go with the simple and cheap first, carb clean and then move on from there.

put the ktm windscreen on tonight. definitely an improvement so for $70 i have no complaints.

although my drill holes got slightly shifted so its not quite centered is a bit annoying

It's new for 2018. I liked the 803s too, but they were just a tad too small upgrading from my Thruxton.

Thanks Man! Yeah I like the whole line myself!

There's three models of the Scrambler 1100; the base, Special and the Sport. The base is very well equipped, and I almost bought that one. I opted for the Sport simply because I wanted the full Ohlins set up from the start.

@NOVATacoma we need to counter @ThunderOne picture by riding to DC and getting a picture there. Even though I hate going towards the city

Same here. But I saw this new little bridge on the highway and couldn't help but try to find it. Then I realized the bridge wasn't going to be as cool of a shot as just getting a pic of the skyline. The outside of th bridge had an LED strip but the inside just looks normal and well lit.
