    lost the clutch in the 690 tonight. worked fine yesterday. filled it back up and messed with lever and the fluid emptied again so i know its going into the engine case at the slave cylinder. calling the local dealer to see if they can get it in for warranty tomorrow. my warranty expires on the august 4th..

    Yeah, you should be good for a replacement on the slave under warranty. It’s not a great design. If it fails again (mine never did on my 2009 690R in 21,000 miles and my 701 is still good after a few thousand miles) you can switch to an Oberon and never have to mess with it again. Not real expensive either.

    nice, i saw the oberon mentioned a few times already. figured while it was still covered id get it done free for now. they hadnt heard of a 17 going bad yet. but now itll spend a few weeks at the dealer since im heading out of town and ill pick it up when i get back.
