The street rod 750 and 500 were built to get buyers that wanted a starter bike. they dont have a good resale value. You have riden before so go for a sportster.

Is that the V&H naked air cleaner? I figured something out on mine that you might want to try.
I’m a cheap bastard. That’s no secret. I didn’t want to pay $100 for a cover for it because it’s basically a round flat peice of aluminum. Figured I’d make something. I’m my travels I found this (or something extremely close).
Round Plastic Electrical Box Cover https://www.lowes.com/pd/Round-Plastic-Electrical-Box-Cover/3127885

Taped over the screw holes and filled them with epoxy (from behind). The tape makes the epoxy set flush with the cover. Drilled a mounting hole in the center and painted it with wrinkle finish rattle can.

You’ll need a slightly longer mounting bolt but otherwise you should be into it for less than $20 if you have to buy everything, including the tape.

Did my safety class on a street 500 with 38 miles on it. Every bike in the class was new as well. None of us were impressed with the bikes. That class guaranteed we had no interest in the street bikes. Maybe the 750 is different, but I doubt it.

It was a small class, only 6 of us. It took 9 bikes for the 6 of us to complete the class. Every bike had electrical issues and several had mechanical problems.

They were fine for the class though. I'm sure it was better than doing it on rebel 250s. Just not a bike I would want to own.

I like that. I dont want to pay for a cover either. But for now, ive just been riding. Almost 1600 miles. I do want to get a Daymaker headlight. Not the Harley one though.

Blockhead (YouTube) did a review of a knock off one. I’ll see if I can find a link. There was also one with switchbacks integrated into the halo for turn signals. Pretty slick.

He mentions a couple times in his later videos that it’s really bright. Just do it man!

Its my father’s, he had shoulder surgery and just isn’t comfortable riding for very long anymore.

Thank you though! This bike is a joy to ride up there!

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
    Who's buying a Niken?

Right? A throwback to the old Buell days.
The adventure bike looks interesting too. I saw a custom builder at Born Free that made an adventure bike out of one of the new fat bobs and it was pretty slick.

I wanted a Buell for so long back in my early 20's. I've never owned one to this day but that Firebolt was what my dreams consisted of back then. I would like to take this Harley for a spin though.

I'm surprised that Harley Davidson has survived it's many economic oscillations, but equally surprised at it's resilience.

The street fight looks marketable, but it's going against established competitors with far greater experience, performance R&D, and quality. Maybe HD's foray into the street performance market will be partnered with a company with that experience. Should be interesting.

On the other hand, I am rather excited to see what happens with the 2021 custom. Wouldn't mind taking that thing for a scoot.

I saw a company selling a light like that for almost a thousand dollars. Can't remember the name of the company though as it was several months ago. When I first saw the light I briefly considered it for the cafe racer but then I saw the price tag.
