They mellow out once the bike is warmed up. Ride for a few days and you’ll notice that at the end of a longer ride it’s a lot more subdued.

I took the baffles out. So actually, if you want quiet baffles, id sell them to you for $30

Slip it in, and there is a set screw.

The seat is a Harley Badlander. Its ok, but not comfortable after an hour

One of my quiet baffles vibrated loose and shot straight out the tailpipe when I got on it on the highway Saturday night. Back to teeth-rattling volume with no baffle in one of the ShortShots. Ordered a new one.

I’ve been wondering about it. I had the same experience with the stock gel seat on my Softail. Comfy around town but an hour or more and my tailbone is sore af.

If you were closer I’d swap with you to test them out b

I caved and ordered today. Won't be here until after Christmas though, just in time for me to go on our annual camping/offroad trip.... :(

I certainly feel less windblast on my chest. My helmet moves less as well. Still, It's substantial wind. I might look for the slightly larger screen for cold weather riding.

I think the quarter fairing is a good middle ground between a full faring and a small wind screen. Harley originally made them for sportsters but club guys started adapting them to fit Dynas. The OEM one is over $300 IIRC, but there are plenty of knock offs for far cheaper. I posted one such example earlier and its the first item in "products discussed"

That's the SoA type fairing, right? I like the more upright Road King style.

Exactly. Not everyone's cup. I'm considering it only to add to long range comfort, but I already get asked which club I ride with and don't need any more help adding to that confusion.

You may consider the FXRT faring. It's narrow enough to fit on the Sportser without looking like a barn door on the front of your bike. I don't know if they make one specific to the sporty that doesnt require some creativity on your end to mount, but Deviant Fab makes a few repops. Look kinda cool with the leg lowers too.

Went for a quick ride today. They aren't that bad. Definitely not as loud as I originally thought. Won't need to put the baffles back in
