Yup, pretty gutless. What's dumb is how much they detuned it from the CBR250R version of the motor. It made 28hp stock.

Before the WR plan I was going to start adding the CBR300R internals which would bump it up to 286cc and ~32hp. Way more solid than the crappy big bore kits that are currently out for my bike.

But screw it, losing 50lbs and gaining 35hp sounds way more fun :D

I wish you were going to be in town next weekend. I'm actually off then...

I'll know more later this week. There could be the possibility of me being home. I'd still need to get the bike together or ride the grom I suppose

Cool. Let me know. I need to get out and do some more riding. Plus if you ride the grom we'll practically be equal haha

Idk, not like you can hold a wheelie with the extra power of the DRZ anyways. So what's the difference? :D

Nice. Pretty sure the only way I'll get mine to wheelie in 2nd is if I put a bigger sprocket on. Not happening.

Only reason I wish I lived in the city. More places to ride and Grom life.

The grom only pulls up in 1st with clutch ups. I'm gonna practice stand ups on it too soon.

I want to ride with some of the other groms soon

Thats hideous....can't imagine the weight of your bike with 23hp....mine is barely enough at 310ish (my guess) and just shy of 40hp

It's still fun and a great first bike. But it's definitely time for me to move on to something bigger and better.

Rode the bike! Almost ate it on a sharp turn on a dirt road that i came up on too fast. My butt and wrist were numb by the time i got there. Was fun otherwise!

I feel like a sail when its windy though!

Just rode back from there, the DRZ seat really does suck!

Is there anything you can do to make riding in the wind better?

I had a tiny bit of fun on some dirt when i was out there, need to ride moar!

Lay down on the tank, but sometimes that cramps your neck.

You could also put your feet on the rear pegs if that helps. Sometimes I put my legs up on the radiators to stretch out.

Side wind, you can do nothing about. But front wind, you can usually move around to a different spot and be a 0.01 more comfortable momentarily
