Thanks! A lot of people aren’t fans of the shape of the Street Bob tank but I think these scallops help the flow of it..

Looks great! Very tasteful. I've been wanting to add some pinstriping to mine to make the shape pop a bit more. From the riding position, the tanks looks awesome with the center crown and overall dimensions, but I've always felt that in profile against the rest of the bike it looks small and out of place. When I added the quarter fairing to mine it changed the look a lot and actually helped the lines of the bike overall.

    Edit:
We also put our license plates in the same location.

People are always gonna have an opinion about something. If I've learned anything from YouTube, that's definitely one of the big takeaways, haha. Just gotta do what makes you happy!

Very clean, thanks for the detailed shots! What do they call that gold style? I thought it was gold leaf at first but looks like swirls? Also is that a Trask exhaust? Looks great!

Turned gold leaf. It mimics a machined surface.

Good luck! My first bike is a '79 Yamaha XS750 that is currently sitting in the corner of my shop waiting to be rewired- mid café resurrection. After welding in the rear frame hoop, I hung the stock love seat as garage art. Crazy how much visual weight you can remove from the bike without the seat. Love the driveshaft bikes though.

Yep- Engine Turned or Machine Turned. He takes a brush and “turns” it over the leaf. I was debating on doing copper leaf- and luckily I give my guy @pinstripingbyrufus “artist license” to do whatever the hell he wants.... (I say that like I had a choice...ha!)

Trask exhaust and air cleaner. Sounds rad!! I had a hell of a time installing it though.

Well I sold my 06 Honda foreman 500 4x4 for $2650 on Saturday. Last night I drove up to Rutland VT and bought a 2015 Honda CB300f with 500 miles for $2700!

Well, I need to figure out a helmet now. I like what I used to have. Afx dual sport helmet. Does anyone know of any deals right now?

Long weekend, wrapped up Steel braided brake lines, rebuilt forks, axel sliders, and added gold emulators. Since i've been doing my own labor, total cost so far on upgrades is still less than one rear shock - but at 220 pounds it needs one badly. On the lookout for a wrecked Dyna Lowrider S to rebuild for next project

Buy once, cry once. Helmets are nothing to cheap out on :) Revzilla is nice with returns or you can stop in at a local dealer/shop and try out the helmets, head shape makes a big difference, and physical sizes vary greatly between manufacturers as far as S/M/L. Some helmets also have different size cheek pads available to swap in to further dial in a size

And remember, it should be very snug. Plenty of videos on Youtube that have the various shake tests to make sure it is the right fit.

Do you think a dual sport helmet on a standard motorcycle is goofy?

Wouldn't look too terrible on the F but I would say the DS helmet probably won't fare as well with the wind noise and buffeting at the speeds you will be getting a street bike up to. I have a round head but I have a Shoei RF1200 and love it.
