But it moves the whole bike higher so the likely hood of dragging anything is substantially less

I've seen how much it moves when it's up there and while I agree it's secure, all that flexing will not be good for a car in time. I'm sure their frames can't handle that kind of torsion.

I have a question specifically for anyone here licensed in NY, though my guess is NJ is very similar....
With regards to riding with a permit, in NY permit riders must be supervised by someone with a motorcycle license/endorsement and that person must be with in 1/4 mile at all times supervising the permit rider.

The question: does the licensed supervisor need be on a bike as well, or can they be trailing you in their car?

The humidity here is killing me :( I have to go about 70mph just to keep the bike under 200F... not to mention myself

The cycle gear hitch hauler comes with an anti-sway pin/bolt setup, the wobble is greatly reduced using that.

Wet a bandana before your ride, soak it, wrap it around your neck - it'll dry quick but feel nice. Hot bike = hot legs = just sucks

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
I ride a Honda Africa Twin and never have an issue with hot legs, but the other day my wife asked me to ride her BMW G650GS to figure something out and holy hell does that thing put out the heat between your thighs. There's even an electric fan that kicks on periodically that blows nuclear hot air right at the inside of your right knee. That was brutal. I had to man-spread just to stay semi-cool in the crotchular area.

My TL1000R frame gets hot as hell and the rear head/exhaust is pretty much right under the front part of the seat. The running joke is that TLR=Testicals Lightly Roasted

Yup, only way to survive is keep moving. I will be a complete bonehead if it gets too hot.. anything to keep moving. It's okay as a hand warmer for the colder months of the season though lol

Built out and gave away this Harley Iron 883 this week. Lots of blood, sweat and beers later.

I really like the look of that seat, but how does it compare comfort wise to the stock seat? My wife is look at replacing hers.
