When I load a bike in the bed I don’t run up there with it. I put the ramp off to the left so I can stay on the ground, get a little momentum going before hitting the ramp and just follow it along side the bed holding on to the left grip and the sub frame. Then Just flip the kickstand down till I can get up in there to tie it down.

The floor of my bed is like 40inches off the ground. Not really an option and dirtbikes dont have kickstands

Just offering up another option. I didn’t say anything about dirt bikes having kickstands but I guess you’re right. You can use a tie down strap if there’s no kickstand. I’m tall and have loaded bikes this way in lifted trucks but if you’re short you may have a point there. Thanks for the correction.

Ah yeah a suggestion is great. Just my experience thatd be tough is all. Ive found walking up a bike is really easy so i start all mine and use first gear up the ramps

I usually ride my bikes up the ramp and into the bed. Much easier than pushing. The key is to strap the ramp down to the trailer hitch so doesnt slide off the tailgate when your on your way up.

Yeah i strap it to my hitch. Never ridden it though just walk it up in gear. The ramp i borrowed to walk up didnt have a tie down to do that with and i was being lazy. My own fault.

I started a thread so we could discuss loading/hauling options. Maybe itll help anyone else looking. Post up your opinions/photos

I have two aluminum ramps I use to walk right up in first gear slipping the clutch. It takes some practice but I'm sure it gets harder as the truck height goes up

Just put on a Nelson Rigg tail bag on my '15 CB300F. Super nice quality at a reasonable price. Pictures to follow.

You will find any information concerning part numbers/cost for any year and model Harley Davidson by following the magic link below. Loads of exploded drawings with an example included below

Thanks for that, but I've actually already looked through all those diagrams. Seems like theres some confusion online because of obsolete part numbers for the dummy lights. Still unsure as to which I need to order

Looks like there used to be two parts for the dummy lights to fit into the low housing, the bezel part 68513-95A and the actual lights/wiring harness part 68813-07. From what I've read those parts are obsolete and replaced with part 68382-96 "bezel assembly". But it appear that part is just the jewel/ bezel with a little mounting bracket or something. No wiring harness. Wondering if my stock lights/ wiring will plug right in or if I need to order an additional part that I'm unaware of. Unfortunately all of the diagrams are outdated and dont show the new part numbers
