That's awesome. Are the bags waterproof? Do/will you have a quick detach solution?

I have quick detach sissy bar mounts so I wonder how much of a pain it'd be to have quick detach bags and still retain a quick detach sissy bar.

The bags are waterproof. They're direct pelican knock offs and looks like they even use the same mold. Rubber o-ring around the lid, and pressure equalization valve.
As far as quick detach: its two bolts for each bag to the mount and two more bolts for the mounts to the struts. Can't really think of a cost-effective way to make them quicker detach than that. Alloy Art also makes a solution to keep the quick detach sissy bar and have the bags bolted through a separate bolt so each mount is independent of each other while using the same mounting hole. Pretty nifty design. This might work for you:

Rad, that might be just what I need then. Excited to see how they turn out for you. My to-do list seems to never stop growing but better organization and safety for camera equipment is towards the top for sure.

I'm lucky that most of these places are near me so I can head over and shoot the shit and see the product in person before I buy. Alloy Art and Thrashin Supply are both about 30 min away from me.

Look up Eylar on Amazon- chinese made pelican knock offs with local distribution. You may want to add some cushioning for your camera gear. They come with pluck foam if you want to compartmentalize for specific items, but I plan on running them as containers and I might add a layer of foam inside just to keep rattles down and/or protect more delicate equipment. Hell, maybe even keep a shirt or light sweater or something in there as cushioning.

As far as the mounts, it's not hard for a fab job, just need to put some time to it once I get customer projects out the door.

I love how small the world seems to get when you're in California haha. I'll check them out! My pelican came with that pick & pluck foam but it got torn to pieces after a couple trips through TSA. If you plastidip the crap out of it it's supposed to hold up pretty well. Might work for this application though. I'll have to do some measuring and see what exactly I'd be able to fit in the bags before I get too carried away.

It's the same for most motorsports here (except nascar). We have off road shops, custom shops, hot rod shops, etc all within SoCal. But we also have traffic, congestion and CARB laws to keep everything balanced. :bananadead: Haha.

110 in SoCal today. Guess I'll be wearing my riding flip-flops.

I was in AZ a couple weeks ago and got to enjoy 114 with 60% humidity. :bananadead:
Made for some cool lightning storms though.

You guys keep your summer weather. Low 90s in kc right now. I do hate having to put my bike up in the winter though. Although i can usually get a couple days out where it warms up in december. Id say typical put away time is december to march. Then dodge rainy days in the spring.

I enjoy driving my gto in those off days at least

I’m normally an ATGATT guy but in the summer I have to cheat a bit. But I think riding in Vegas traffic makes you a lot more aware and cautious anyway. There are way too many self absorbed drivers out there.

I’m in Florida right now and I can’t imagine riding out here. Seems like nobody is paying attention to the actual road. I notice it every time I’m out here.

Got some stuff done in the past few days. Coil relocate, tank lift, low speedo conversion, wire tuck, and 14" apes. Thinking that I was gonna do all that in a day was extremely optimistic lol it took about a week.

I'm more of a SOTGMOTT (some of the gear most of the time) ...and I have the road rash to prove it.

Anyone have a recommendation for aux lighting? Have been commuting more and more and finally getting sick of my weak ass headlight (upgraded bulb already).

Have been looking at the piaa LP270s.

If you look at led pods some of them are crazy bright but just have to find the correct place to mount them. I love my led bar for night time driving

Hell yeh man! Looks really good. I need to get around to doing the wire tuck and taller bars for my bike. Tried to tackle it this past weekend but my primary cover bolts are stripped which prevents me from changing the clutch cable and therefore the bars. I also wish they made a coil relocate for my bike. Unfortunately I've got dual plug heads so none of the mass produced ones work. Need my fab guy (@fatfurious2) to work with me on something.

How did the indicator light switch work out? All parts were compatible I'm assuming...
