For the price you an get a used 2012+ WR450F which is a damn good bike. The WR250R doesn't have magic valves or anything. I know the stated service interval is 25k miles but my valves on the 06 WR450F haven't moved in 10 years and the new ones are even better. Unless you really need 6th gear, the 450 is better in every aspect. It depends on your weight alot too, under 180 and shorter, it would be alot more liveable.

I’m wanting an XT225 ;-). The XT would be an awesome little camping bike. The WRR weighs 300 lbs. I think the XT is around 250lbs ? What can you say about 200EXC, one of the best woods bikes ever! The WRR has way better pavement capability, is taller than the XT with more clearance and suspension in between the bikes you have.

im actually going to look at a non running XT225 tomorrow.

Now I am leaning towards keeping the two bikes. The 200exc needs about $1000 worth of parts over the winter. The XT225 is a fun little bike around town.

If I move for work next year and knock my commute down to 10 minutes I’m seriously considering getting back into a dual sport. But this time the 450.

What kind of coating do you have on your garage floor? How is it holding up? Im trying to decide on diy or fork over the $$ for a professional epoxy job.

I like little bikes. The 225 will get you a lot of places when you don’t need to go there fast.

Yep, but by the time you spend the money on wheels/tires brakes you could just buy a Husky 701 and be in Supermoto Nirvana.

Good point! And a 701 is only a little heavier than a WRR

honestly I am not sure, this is a rental that I just moved into last week, just by the look and smell and the couple scratches so far I suspect it is some cheap garage floor paint nothing too expensive
 new apartment got the keys last week

The 701 are still a bunch of money though for what they are. A friend picked up a salvage 701 for $2,500. All cosmetic damage. He is having a blast with it. I had a KTM 625 SMC Supermoto almost 15 years ago. Happy hard on the gas or hard on the brakes, but horrible just riding around. I'm sure with the counter balancers and FI the 701 will be much better.....now as for the amount of tickets a 701 might earn you, that is the part that would probably kill me.
