Well, the weather forecast doesn't lie... it's winter.

I finally accepted reality and winterized the Ninja. I filled the tank all the way up and added Star Brite ethanol stabilizer, then shut off the petcock and drained the carbs. I yanked the battery out because the garage is not heated, and got the bike stored in the garage next to the Mustang until spring rolls around.

    What a bummer. :pout:

I like the short sissy bar, The taller ones look a little goofy IMO unless you're building a vintage style bike with lots of stretch and bunny ear handle bars. The short sissy bar is still a good enough backrest for passengers and enough to properly strap a decent sized pack down for longer trips.

40° days are riding days as long as the roads are clear.

I hate wasting nice sunny days in my truck. I did find out that my bike flashes a bright blue snowflake at you when the temperature drops below 38° the other night. Even it thinks I need to go put it back in the garage.

I’ll do 40° for a short run, much rather 50 though. What bike you have that displays ambient temp info? I’d be happy with a gear indicator lol

It’s a F750GS, all kinds of fancy toys and gizmos on it. Huge upgrade coming from a KLR650 with nothing extra at all.

Nice, I rented an F650GS a few years ago and thought it was a fun bike.

Sometimes I wish I hadn’t stopped at the dealer for a test ride. I’d still be happy on my KLR and have saved a bunch of money but once I took the 750GS for a ride there was no turning back.

I need a sissy bar for Dyna, want to get a san diego customs style low profile one. Pain in the ass on an older Dyna as all the bracketsmare for 06 plus. Someome makes hardware for both that and detaachable bags butmits $60 just for screws. Another $200 or so for the actual bar and seat.

I dont get the whole “season” thing myself. It was 35 today and I barely noticed. Hoody, jacket, full face, balclava, gloves, fleece, lined pants. Sounds like a lot but I work outside half thenday so its nothing more than normal. Felt like any other day. Was itching so bad to ride. I will,do cold or raining, but not both - or snow.

A lot of cool bikes in this thread! I wanted to stop by and post what I ride. Unfortanelty haven't done much riding this year at all for some reason.
This is my 2017 Kawasaki Z1000, have roughly 11k mile on it, Akrapovic headers, flashed ecu and a bunch of other little goodies.

After a solid 4.5 years, the DRZ original battery is done. I can drift start it and get it to run, but the battery absolutely will not take any charge at all. I’d say thats about the best life i’ve seen anyone get out of a factory suzuki battery. Certainly the longest lasting one i have ever had

Now i’m slightly undecided which battery to go with...I was dead set on Shorai but the one in my lady’s tw200 acts odd from time to time. Its been dead and wouldn’t start the bike a couple of times, but then we come back the next week and its fine...everything is tight, no blown fuses or anything that I can tell. Its the first shorai that i’ve had trouble with and now i’m skeptical
