Mmm yup, that one. I'd do some pretty terrible things for those gold tubeless rims..

Nice. These bikes are way too expensive now. I remember paying 12.5 out the door for my 04 cbr1000rr. Now they are 17k and up. Crazy. Plus I don't need no damn abs and all that other non sense

yea the 1000s are not cheap, I wanted a fireblade but ended up with this 600 somehow.... lol and to think I walked in with the intent of bringing home an XR650l

This one was a left over that was sitting on the dealership showroom for a decent amount of time so I got a fair discount off the msrp, plus this one I took also was a no abs model so that saved me roughly 500-1000 off the ABS model msrp as well

already having owned a few different 600cc street bikes I felt comfortable without much reservation taking this one home

but damn me I still daydream of a fireblade :frusty:

insane how cheap you can pick up an rc51 these days :spending:

I use a perforated leather jacket made by Roland Sands that works well in the summer. It has a loose/ American fit around the waste. Good for cafe and cruiser riding style. I paid less than $150 for it on clearance at J&P Cycles.

    Stuff.. and things
Dainese recently came out with an airbag vest for around $700. It can be worn under any other jacket or just by itself (not that I recommend that at all). Definitely something I will be considering. You could make your favorite jacket an airbag one or even an abrasive resistant shirt/hoodie for warmer weather. I’m all about protection myself. I ride in a perforated Astars jacket year round. I figure I’m going to be hot as hell siting on a bike in 90 degrees regardless, so may as well not get beat to shit if I happen to go down haha.

They come up fairly frequently but usually only in a couple of sizes so have to buy quickly.

@uurx looks great man! Do you think you'll end up putting exhaust on it?

    My buddy has a 2009 600

I went for a ride in a broken-in pair of Dickes once during the summer. Spread my knees for a little more airflow to my schweaty areas. Wind caught the pants and I got ball slapped repeatedly by the pants flapping in the wind. Learned my lesson.

I use to love the rc51s until I rode one. Tbh didn't care for much after that. Also these new litre bikes are insanely fast. My brother has the bmw s1000rr. Wow scary fast. Last time we went for a ride I turned up a straight away before he did at the top of 3rd gear he scares the fuck outta me blowing past me. I was like how the what the hell he catch up to me. Big difference from an 04 cbr1000rr to 17 bmw s1000rr
