Ya I’m lookin for a cruiser boot as well. I got some new brown ones that are nice but I don’t wanna get shifter toe and fuck em up much haha. Although I’ll probably do it anyway  id like a black pair just to hide any scuffs from shifting

I’m lookin for a pair that are more “stylish” If you will. Something that you’d wear outside of riding. Definitely against my code

Haha, definitely not winning any fashion shows wearing those.

If they’re just as protective as the alpine stars, I’d just buy the vans. I have the brown leather ones and another pair of hi tops from them. I love their shoes. But i dunno how protective they’d be compared to an actual boot

Here’s my boots with the vans next to them. They’re almost the same height but the boots are a much thicker leather.

I wear these on the street for about 3-4 years now. Super comfy, look good with jeans and offer decent protection. Bike landed on my foot once wearing them, no fractures/breaks.

I have the older version of these:

    https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/tcx-mood-gore-tex-shoes

Actual plate/cup on your ankle bone thing. Pretty sturdy but don’t really look like riding shoes. And they came with a shift toe strap to keep them looking pretty and unscratched haha

When I’m out on trails I wear full boots, TCX Drifter WP.

So as it turns out, I was able to get the Ninja out for a run yesterday!
I left work at my usual time and made it home quick (amazing, not sure how that's possible) and discovered that it was still warm with plenty of daylight left. I dragged the Ninja out of the garage, tossed in the battery, grabbed my gear and rode it around until well after dark. It was great!!

I have Sedici pants and jacket which seem to be built pretty well. My boots and gloves are Bilt and have reinforced parts in all the important areas.
This is no joke, but I spent more money on my gear than I did on my motorcycle. I paid only about $1,000 for my little Ninja (20k miles, been dropped, etc.), but my Shoei helmet alone was over $600. I think I have about $1,200 or so in my gear.

My all time favorite helmet was the icon rubbatone. No wind noise and fairly light. I loved my aria helmet but that didn't make it out of the accident when I was hit by the car on my bike back in 06. Split the helmet in half. Was rear ended at a stop sign. Nothing like being hit from the rear by a truck.

I rented a Triumph in Florida, and tried wearing no helmet. Had to stop at 35mph to put it back on

Yeah it's a weird feeling. I think the only time I haven't worn a helmet is when I rented a scooter in South Beach, but no highways just putting around town.

I lived in Florida for 2 years and I think I didn't wear a helmet one time. I like my head

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I look at the no helmet law kinda like natural selection. It’s one way to weed out the idiots of the world.
