Depending on your schedule you might want to consider buying it and riding it back, could be a cool trip. I made a similar one from Tucson to Chi a couple years ago that was tons of fun.

 

That’s not in the books. 1. Being they don’t have bikes that meet the CA emissions bullshit. They’re going to be contacting a warehouse to get me one. And 2. I just don’t have the time to ride it back, it’s also probably miserable riding weather in Illinois to most of my way back to California

Yup. Cat converters and everything. No smog check that I’m aware of though. When I buy parts on reveille I always have to check the box saying I understand they’re “noT sTrEt LeGal” and for “rAce/ oFf RoAd uSe oNly”

I have yet to get pulled over for anything, but all of my vehicles have some kind of vehicle code issue.

 

I do not have the safety inspection on mine yet. Need to figure out where to mount the plate, since I bought mine out of state

Ha! My dealership wanted me to pick a song for them to blast in the dealership, ring a bell and take a photo on the bike... I said, nah, I’m good waiting back here in the office. The sales guy looked super disappointed. While I was back there I heard “sweet child of mine” and “born to be wild” so obviously they got a couple guys to do it.

 

Some people get super into that stuff. I just want to buy my stuff and get out. Sure as hell won’t be coming to the “new owner breakfast” the following weekend.

Yea. I feel these dealerships are stuck in the past. The first bike I bought from a smaller local HD dealership was a great experience, super helpful, they seemed just as stoked as me. Then my Street Bob I had to go to the big tourist dealership and it was all this forced corny shit. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Dreaded going back for my 5000 mile service.

 

BTW, did you see the press release for the 128ci kit for our bikes?

Picked mine up today.

 

Screaming eagle (stage 4). The same stage 4 kit for baggers brings you up to 131ci. They even have a part number for a crate engine. I'm good on power for now, but I though that was cool of them to do.

 

I've wanted personalized plates since they released the legacy plates here in CA (black plate with yellow letters). What I'm having a hard time with is picking what I want on it that isn't going to sound cheesy to me in a couple years. "There's nothing more embarrassing like the first email address you ever picked."
