Make sure to have them send a shirt strapped to the bike when they ship. Gotta represent.

Even though it was cold, rainy and getting dark yesterday evening, I still took the Ninja out for a cruise around the neighborhood streets.
Nothing wild, just cruising for the sake of cruising, and an excuse to practice my low speed turns and to build my confidence in low light conditions.
It was still fun as hell. There is something incredibly therapeutic about being on a bike and having that singing engine just inches away from your legs. I think I’m starting to understand this whole thing.

When my brother was making the jump from sport bikes to Harley he went into a dealership ready to pay cash (well cashier's check) for an Ultra Limited. The sales guy kept trying to get him in the box to talk financing. He asked for an out-the door price and they kept pushing him to finance. He ended up calling another dealership from the showroom, got a quote, and left. He went straight to the bank, grabbed the check and headed to the other dealer. The first dealer called him while they were putting the temp tags on his new bike and he let them know.

It did make things kind of awkward since he was dating the finance manager at the first dealership at the time...

They make money on the financing. My buddy just purchased a street glide this summer. Wanted to pay cash/Business check. They told him if paying by Business check it would be a five day wait. So he financed it, ride home that day and paid it off when the first payment was due.

My saddle time is almost as therapeutic as my trigger time. I think the most zen I could possibly be would be to take a bike on a camping and shooting trip.

Just talked to the Chicago dealer. They were able to match my credit unions rate of 5.99% and offered me 0 down. Going to get the paperwork all goin with them next week!

looking to buy some safety wire pliers today

    anyone have any recommendations?

Stockton and Bikemaster are the two that seem to be popular

one would think this would be an easy purchase, however after owning many a set of cheap pliers and a handful of top dollar pliers... pliers are clearly not all made equally

Gotcha that will definitely keep the grips from spinning on you. I need to get a pair of safety wire pliers too, just been using a standard set which doesn't do as good a job.

leaning towards the bikemaster pliers, given the price and the fact it comes with a spool of wire already...

Good lord. Will never do any business with the HB dealer. Ever. I’ve gotten 3 calls, 3 voicemails and numerous texts today.
