Looks good. What all have you done to your MT09? I need to get an exhaust for mine.

    Thank you I appreciate that!
The brake light I just did is from Rizoma and I used two 12mm bolt LEDs as the blinkers. Drilled a couple holes into the plastic to mount them.

Other than that it has shorty brake and clutch levers, tank grips, bar end mirrors, and flush mount front blinkers. I have some black Renthal streetfighter bars that I need to install here soon as well.

The previous owner put on a GYTR exhaust. I think it looks pretty good and don’t see a lot of FZs with them so I’m planning on keeping it. The bike could use a tune though.

I don’t have any experience with those specifically but a buddy has a cobra on his breakout and it sounds awesome. Deep rumble without high RPM drone.

Why run both? I still havent seen a need for something like the emperor yet. Ive just been rocking the powerparts skid that is actually really small. I like that its not bulky

How do you like your short shots? I’m not sure if I like the look of them as much as the full length pipes and muffler that come stock. I just want some extra growl

I like the shorter exhaust. I think visually it cleans up the bike a lot which is a lot of the aesthetic I was going for with this one. It opens up the rear wheel while the full length exhausts cover the back half. While I’m happy with the short shots, if I was to do it over again I’d get a 2-1 like TBR for slightly better performance. It’s also about the same overall length as the short shots. When I was buying everything, the price difference was big enough where it was an easy decision at the time.

I’m even less a fan of the 2-1 haha. I won’t be buying any full pipes for it soon though so I got plenty of time to look at your bike and others haha. I think I will probably get the cobra muffler though after a month or two as a start so I don’t have to get a tuner at the same time

Those of you with first gen tacomas, and dirt bikes, how do you transfer your bike in your trucks?
I threw mine on a hitch carrier this morning to test it out, and honestly got a little sketched out seeing how much flex the frame has in it. I'm thinking of ditching my fiberglass topper for a softopper that I can fold down and have the bike in the bed. But I'd like to see what others have done first.

Fucking cock suckers at HB Harley signed me up for a credit card without fucking telling me. I just got one in the mail and I’m like what the fuck is this. I will never in my life purchase anything from them or recommend them for anything.

That’s some horseshit. How’d they get your social? I thought you had just negotiated here and there, no actual paperwork.

I had given them my stuff for the financing to get my quotes and shit. Apparently the signed me up for a credit card without telling me. Or the paperwork they had me fill out was just for that and they straight lied to my face. Either way, fuck those pieces of shits

Holy shit! That’s fucked. I would look into filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. That’s shady as hell. Did you sign anything releasing or allowing them to get you a credit card? If they pulled some shit and signed you up without permission that’s actually illegal and they could be fined. But if they just gave you a bunch of shit to sign and snuck in a credit app without telling you (and you didn’t read it) then that’s a different story. Either way, some plain English from their sales team and the expectation that a business will treat you right is your right as a customer. Maybe raise hell with the owner/manager?

I wonder if they get any perks for Harley Credit for signing people up. There was a scandal at a few department stores for doing shit like that. I know of a couple Costco’s got caught doing the same thing. They’d sign up members for the credit card without telling them. Most people wouldn’t notice because they thought they were just getting a new Costco card.

I was never once told anything about a credit card application. I gave them my info on the paper that I was told was for the financing information to finance through them while purchasing the bike. Not once did I ever hear mention of a credit card. I obviously signed that paperwork but I didn’t read it. Lesson learned. I may go back in to raise an issue cuz that shit is not cool. I got the card in the mail today and was like uhh what the fuck is this? I didn’t ask to sign up for a HD credit card. I called and had it canceled and the idiot lady tried telling me that they didn’t have a option to lease bikes or something like that and it was a credit card app. I’m like uhh do you not know how financing a vehicle from a dealership works?

I’m pretty pissed with them even more now. Will look in to the BBB thing too though. Shits not acceptable.

It’s possible he laid it down and replaced the parts without making a claim. Realizing that sport bikes or riding might not be for him. Been there.

Had a buddy that got into riding, was almost killed a week later by someone on their phone. He sold the bike for a 3500 hit just to get it gone.

Could be legit give him a call and get the back story. When you see the bike in person go over it with a fine tooth comb, it should be in excellent condition if it really has only 1000 miles.

I bought both my bikes used with low mileage for fairly cheap. Definitely be cautious but there are a variety of reasons someone might have a bike and barely ride it.
