Damn your patience is thinner than mine and I’m the one gettin the bike

Still waiting to hear something. Sent a text this morning telling them I’m available Thursday and Friday for delivery with Friday being better. They probably have to coordinate with the shipping company first and then the dealer and then the shipping company again and then me and then the shipping company.

I had a headache when I was researching what parts were on my bike. I texted my friend that I may have help me. He said Ive only had it since Thursday, why was I getting all worked up over it. Its good now, and Im in the middle of rearranging my garage so I can have more floor space/space in general to have 2 bikes.. But if I end up tripping over it, I might just sell it to @GHOST SHIP :mad::rofl:

(In reality, I dont think it will be that difficult to finish it. The carb doesnt scare me because there is only 1, and I will just buy a replacement one. Maybe the electronics are a little scary, but maybe not. Or I have too high hopes in myself. I guess right now I just need to get a wire brush to knock the rust out of the tank, and figure out what the tank thickness is, so I can get some sheet metal to practice on. My neighbor has sealed his ZRX1100 tank before, and hopefully he can help me do mine on the cheap - for step 1)

I think you nailed it- you're overwhelmed with the new project. Take it slow and be methodical about finishing it one component at a time as opposed to ordering a bunch of stuff at once that will add to your frustration with an unfinished bike and a pile of parts. Maybe start with the tank- since that sounds like it'll be the easiest to finish. once that's wrapped up, move on to the next thing then the next. My advice as a guy that's been in your shoes with the Yamaha. The good thing is you have the sporty to ride while you work on the other bike- clear your head a bit and enjoy the road.

Now that I think of it, how about doing something about getting it registered in your name before you dump money into it? Everything else might be a wash if you encounter hurdles there.

Thats a good point. I will print out the abandoned title form, and work on that. Im not even at the point of spending $ on tank stuff yet. I want to clean it, and work on welding it closed - and that doesnt cost anything

If they can’t figure out the damn shipping and promise me a delivery date of This Friday, I’m just going out there to fucking get it myself and trailer it home on Saturday. I’ve waited long enough. They issued me a 30 permit since I have to register it here (which is fucking stupid because the bikes location is in California...) but they issued it with the start date of 2/14 so by the time I get the damn bike, I can only ride it for like a week before I’m forced to go sit at the DMV to properly register it :frusty:

It’ll probably be a bit. Unless the slip on mufflers are only “track only” legal. I’m not gonna do full pipes until later.
    I “can’t” ever.
