I need to step up my game! Still at 48miles. Little hard when it’s snowing currently. Need some spiked tires.

I had a few Intruders over the years. Basically the precursor to the Boulevard. Good bikes. Felt crazy small after I got a Softail, but I think the Boulevard might be a little bigger?

SE Texas weather decides when I ride! And I don’t ride when it’s the slightest bit wet. As a new rider, I have enough variables! :D

I feel that. That’s why I didn’t ride to work today. Didn’t want to chance it. Will get wet road riding practice in when I don’t have to be at work in 30 mins

I had the bike on a road trip out to Yellowstone two summers ago, storm was supposed to hit from the east starting at about 6am the day I was supposed to leave, so I ended up leaving at 4am to try and out run it. Nope, didn't work, instead spent four hours in the pouring down rain with some K60's on my F800GS (that don't do well in the wet) blasting across Montana on back highways and eventually I-90 trying to not get killed by truckers. Once my entire body was numb I hit a point of it kind of being fun and part of the adventure and all that but it was miiiiiiiiiiiserable. I still remember the exact moment the water seeped through the zipper and my crotch started getting soaked, miserable.

I didn’t mind riding in the rain in Florida. Would be absolutely miserable in Montana though.

I hear ya man, it does make for a memorable journey!

My wife and I got caught in the rain on a weekend trip last summer. We didn’t get more than a couple miles from home and the sky opened up. I was aggravated and thought about turning back to get the truck but was determined to keep it a motorcycle trip as planned. Luckily the destination was only about an hour away but we got thoroughly soaked. Also found out my luggage isn’t waterproof lol.
