Thanks for the vid! I have a buddy of mine who's well versed in Harleys. I've been running everything by him too lol. He's actually one of out truck drivers for my work and he said if he's in the area he would check it out for me and could trailer it back if I buy it. Helps having trucks and trailers going everywhere all the time lol

Looks like a really clean bike. I'd try to find a 2007 and up though for the fuel injection.

 

I am not adding the flat black strip to the new fender. Just orange.hopefully my guy can get the match right. The paint has not been released by H-D

 

and then remember not to get the first year bike/car.. get the 2nd year so they fix all of the problems

 

I think Im going to order new bars next week. Will I have better luck than @uhplifted? will they get here before his seat does? will his seat be re-routed to east coast, and then back to west coast? How to protect bicycles from abuse?

 

There any Triumph riders on this thread? Bonneville people?

why is yours taking 3 weeks and his only takes 1? and anyone else's takes 2 days ?

I'm the opposite. I'd rather tune a carb than deal with maps and FI controllers (after tuning the quad stack on the CB750, the CV40 on my Sporty is a dream). That being said if it's just going to be ridden and not modded FI would be a better choice.

It was an option on the Sportsters and big twins for a while pre '07. They rolled it out as standard for the 2007 model year. IIRC that was when they made the shift from a five to a six speed transmission in the big twins as well (see what I did there?).

 

Sportsters are still only 5 speeds

 

Yep, but the Streets got a six speed. I think the new Bronx and Pan America will to. It makes me think the Sportster may be on it's way out...

 

Got the tins rattle bombed today. The bulk of the parts I'm still waiting on should be here Thursday. Looks like tomorrow I'll get to relax.

 

Seat concepts has a 10-14 day backorder. Also found out if I order through local Honda dealer I would save $20 in shipping.

 

I think they are just trying to get a different market
