Motorcycles BS Thread 2.0

I have a ATC50 that's waiting it's turn (if I ever finish the Yamaha). I think it's an 84 or 86. I remember riding it when I was a kid, but it hasn't been ridden in about 30 years or so. The one thing I do remember is that I wasn't strong enough to start it on my own (pull start) so I'd always need my father's help if I ever stalled it out.

 

Just found one of those on Craigslist for $4k. Not nearly that clean though.

 

Took this pic yesterday. Hadn't ridden it in months, did about 100 miles or so and back roads were mostly empty. Saw a handful of motorcycles out.

Pouring rain here this morning. Yesterday afternoon ended up clearing up so I took the bike for a short scoot. Was really windy and not a great ride but still felt good to get out. Won’t be riding until Friday most likely with all the rain forecasted. Was super nasty this morning with sideways rain.

This was my commute to work this morning. Needless to say, I’ll be in the truck all week.

yeah it was pretty crazy how he ended up with it, initially he went to look at a Red CT70 Clone 125cc (Skyteam brand) the guy wanted 1100 for it, it was rough and didn't run. When the guy pulled the tarp of the clone there was a CT70 right next to it. Long story short they didn't make a deal on the red one and didn't really want to sell the CT70. The Red one sold and the guy text my brother a week later saying come pick up the Honda, $200 and it's yours.

Check this out, the buyer of the Red one listed it a month ago and I just happened to find it on Offer up for $800 while just browsing. We went and picked it up for $700, its registered and street legal, the seller gave up on getting it running, carb was gummed up, and bad gas. we later discovered it had a bent intake valve which was an easy fix. Added a Honda decal to spice it up a bit.

I know a member on this site that has a 250r sitting in his shed. He keeps saying he needs to get it running. I even gave him a number for a buddy that does atv repair. Still sitting.

I've been super antsy today and had to get out of the house. Went out for a quick 50 mile/1 hr ride through the fields, real happy that it's almost the end of the brown season and the fields are greening up.
